Product Features
Angle of View
The angle of view is measured in degrees and indicates how large the viewable field is. The Monocular angle of view is 48 degrees. Field of view is particularly important when observing moving subjects like birds or at sporting events. The field of view is defined as the width of the viewable field at a distance of 1000m from the point of obervation. The Monocular field of view is 140 meters.
Waterproof
Although this isnt meant as a full time underwater product, its built robustly enough to sustain being submerged to a depth of 1 meter for up to 5 minutes without affecting their performance. So no need to worry if you're caught in the rain while looking at that rainbow.
Exit Pupil
The exit pupil is 2.7 which represents the diameter of the light images visable through the eyepiece. The exit pupil is calculated by dividing the objective lens diameter by the magnification factor. This allows you to view your subjects even at those low light places like the orchestra.
Compact
Monocular I is super compact and portable thanks to the innovative roof prism design. Light focuses directly on the eyepiece, allowing for a minimized footprint that makes it easy to place in your everyday travel bag without weighing it down or taking up too much room.
Olympus Lense
Olympus lenses are a world-renowned trademark synonymous with optical precision. And these high grade optical components carry into the Monocular I which incorporates muli-coated lenses to prevent loss of light and improve sharpness.
