With the culmination of years of expertise in telephoto zoom lens development, the versatile Tamron 70-210mm F/4 Di VC USD (Model A034) provides superb optical performance throughout the entire zoom range. Applying three LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements enables the Model A034 to correct chromatic aberrations effectively while shooting for clear, crisp images to the edges of the frame. Model A034 features a constant maximum aperture of F/4, providing superior control over depth-of-field. Also, by achieving a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.1, the highest in its class and the shortest-in-class MOD of 37.4", you will enjoy ultra-soft excellent bokeh when shooting up close. The shorter working distance enables photographers to capture close-up images of small objects like flowers while using a telephoto zoom. Compared to large aperture telephoto zoom lenses, the new A034 is lighter (just 30.3 oz.) and is more compact (only 6.8 in.) making it easier to carry and instantly spring into action.

An optional tripod mount compatible with Arca-Swiss style quick release plates is available for the A034. Arca-Swiss style mounts can be easily attached and detached and are renowned for their excellent stability. In keeping with the lightweight nature of this zoom lens, the tripod mount is made of a light yet robust magnesium alloy to support you in a wide range of photographic conditions-like shooting at a slow shutter speed. Using a tripod makes the lens more stable, as opposed to attaching a tripod to a camera body to prevent blurred images. Two exclusive new optional teleconverters
Two exclusive teleconverters (available separately), which match the optics of the new 70-210mm F/4, offer 1.4x and 2.0x magnification, and provide a maximum zoom range up to 420mm. These teleconverters extend the focal length of the master lens, making it possible to take pictures in farther ultra-telephoto ranges.
