"SHIFT"
The whole new feature "SHIFT" brings you total control over the system's balance between performance and temperature. Switch between profiles "Sport", "Comfort", and "Green" to find the perfect balance between system performance and temperature. SHIFT is activated by the FN + F7 hotkey combo, or via the Dragon Gaming Center.
- Sport - Runs CPU and GPU at the highest frequency for maximum performance.
- Comfort - Limits GPU frequency to level 1. Maintain GPU temperature at a maximum of 89 degrees C.
- Green - Disables Intel Turbo boost and limits GPU frequency to level 2. Control CPU and GPU temperatures at a maximum of 85 degrees C.
Upgradeable MXM Design
Thanks to its replaceable MXM graphics module, the GT72 comes with more possibilities for future upgrades than other notebooks. The original configuration of the GT72, with GTX870M/GTX880M is upgradable to the new, more powerful GTX970M or even GTX980M, depending on your territory. Newer GT72 models featuring the GTX970M/GTX980M in their turn will be upgradable to future graphics generations in 2015.
