Surrounding the tube are steel grills that never get hot and put a safe distance between you and the flame encased in weather resistant glass. It has an "easy start" electric ignition on the front of the unit plus a universal infra-red remote. Providing heat for up to 24 hours with a 40 lb. propane tank, the tank is held steady by a strap attached to the interior of the reinforced triangular base. Safety is further ensured by the built-in SafeTilt switch, which shuts down the unit if it tilts or falls over.
