The SDR-S100 records video and stills directly onto SD media enabling users to pop the card into a computer for immediate video viewing, editing, transfer to DVD or e-mailing. Because there are no moving parts in an SD card, many of the problems native to tape such as dropouts, problems in extreme temperatures, and head cleaning are reduced or removed. The SDR-S100 uses three individual image sensors, one each to capture the separate red, green and blue primary video colors.
