Key Features

1366 x 720 True HD Display with Built-in Speakers and Tuner w/ New Space Saving Design

900:1 Contrast Ratio - With an impressive contrast between the brightest whites and the darkest blacks this LCD has the ability to show subtle color details and tolerate ambient room light.

HD Dynamic Contrast - This feature increases Contrast and Color Saturation to create deep, rich color, amd images. The intelligent circuitry analyzes both the dark and bright areas of the picture, and separately optimizes the dynamic range in each area of the picture (Last year only dark areas were optimized). Picture enhancements include Luminance transient improvement, Green Enhancement, and Blue Stretch. This circuit is only active in Sports Mode, and is now available with all video signals.

Toshiba PixelPure AT (Adaptive Technology) Digital Video Processing - This system is actually a suite of up to eight different digital video processing circuits that combine to create a consistently clearer, deeper, and more accurate picture. Including Motion Adaptive De-Interlacing, Adaptive MPEG Processing, Adaptive Contrast Enhancement, and Adaptive Color Enhancement, all critical elements to deliver the consistently high quality picture expected from a Toshiba Television.

HDMI-HDTV Digital Input - High Definition Multimedia Interface is the next generation of DVI. It includes the DVI digital video signal, and multi-channel digital audio signals on a single cable. HDMI is the first industry-supported, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video connection. HDMI provides the best interface between a DVD player and compatible products, such as a digital television (DTV). When matched with a compatible TV, this single interconnecting cable combines: Multi-channel audio, uncompressed digital video, intercommunication between devices and simple control Protocols. This single cable connection ensures that all signals remain in their pure digital form and secure by use of High Definition Copy Protection (HDCP) regardless of signal output resolution.

CableClear DNR+ (by input) - Designed to optimize poor NTSC signals from antenna or cable, this new video noise reduction system eliminates video noise ("snow") for a clean crisp image. CableClear utilizes the Digital 3D/YC Comb Filter to compare frames and determine the existence and extent of video noise. It then applies the needed amount of digital video noise reduction, and the appropriate sharpness adjustment to keep the picture clear. This feature now works on RF, composite and S-Video inputs, and can be selected by input.

SRS WOW and Virtual Dolby - SRS WOW technology takes the performance of the television's existing speakers to a whole new level, offering the consumer superior sound quality with no additional peakers required, SRS WOW consists of three separate sound expanding systems, which work together to extract"buried" highs and lows. The three systems are, SRS 3D, TruBass, and FOCUS. SRS 3D creates a three dimensional sound field from just two speakers, thus giving the listener the feeling of hearing a multi speaker surround sound system. TruBass produces a powerful, yet low, frequency sound by utilizing a process called psychoacoustics. From only two small speakers, TruBass will give the effect of an expensive sub bass woofer that will leave the listener amazed by the quality of the sound. FOCUS was added to direct the energy from the speakers of the television set in a vertical direction up towards the listener?s ears. The addition of FOCUS means that there is virtually no loss of sound from the speaker?s position on the bottom panel near the floor, which achieves a clear, undistorted range of audio.

StableSound - This feature maintains television volume within a preset range regardless of the source signal. Eliminates the annoyance of normal program volume being followed immediately by extremely loud commercial messages or drastic volume fluctuations while changing channels.

4-Item Glow Remote Control with DVD Control - This ergonomically designed remote puts all the "most needed" functions in reach of your thumb, making operation a snap, and because it glows, it's great for operating in a darkened room environment. The remote comes preprogrammed to operate up to four home theater components.

HD Window POP with Split Screen and 12 Multi-Windows - This advanced system can accept 480i, 480p, and 720p, and can even display 4:3 and 16:9 images on the screen at the same time. The split screen function allows the user to increase or decrease the size of the POP boxes, making one larger than the other. The MultiWindow system enables the consumer to continue to view the main picture in a large POP box while viewing Favorite Channels, or channel scanning in the other smaller POP boxes. HD Window POP (picture on picture) is a versatile and convenient feature for the age of HD as it lets the user watch two programs simultaneously, even HD sources.

Tri-Lingual Color Icon On-Screen Display  - Toshiba leads the industry with its new multicolor On-Screen Display.  All TV functions can be easily operated using the remote control to access Toshiba's advanced on-screen display and offer effortless control by utilizing bitmap?level graphics and a unique circular-icon?based display. These new displays put a host of customizable features at your fingertips?like Movie & Sports Modes, Picture-in-Picture (PIP) Sound, Stable Sound, Video Labeling, Video Lock, Direct Video Input Selection, and Individual A/V Settings for Inputs - to make your TV as easy to use as it is advanced. This full-featured system can be operated in English, French or Spanish. By using the four cursor buttons on the remote control, your favorite features or settings are only a click away.

Off/Sleep Timer -  Allows the viewer to set the television to shut off after a preset amount of time. The Sleep Timer allows you to fall asleep watching TV and have the TV turn itself off up to three hours later (in 10-minute intervals).
