Product Overview: The Xact XS021 Vehicle Kit has everything you need to install the XTR-1 Stream Jockey Sirius satellite receiver (sold separately) into your vehicle. The kit contains a docking module, an adjustable car base, satellite antenna, and a cigarette lighter DC adapter.
Docking Module: The docking module features a proprietary multi-pin connector that plugs into the bottom of the Stream Jockey and a clip that locks the receiver to the module. The back of the docking module contains three jacks: a DC power input, an audio output (3.5mm mini-jack), and an SMB antenna jack for the supplied Sirius antenna.
Car Base: The Vehicle kit comes with an adjustable car base that can be attached to the vehicle by the supplied self-adhesive pad, or with 4 screws (not supplied). When secured by the self-adhesive pad, the car base can swivel 360? and be positioned in any of 20 stops. The Stream Jockey, when mounted to the base, can tilted forward or backward and locked into place. The car base attaches to the back of the receiver via 4 pins and a thumbscrew.
Antenna: The kit comes with a magnetic Sirius satellite antenna with a 21' cable. The antenna cable has a single SMB connector. The antenna can be installed with or without the supplied 6-1/2" rubber tail. A packet of cleanser with antistatic is supplied to prepare the spot on the vehicle where you choose to install the antenna. Dimensions: Width=1.889", Height=0.651", Depth=2.64".
Cigarette Lighter Adapter: To supply power to the Stream Jockey receiver, the vehicle kit includes a cigarette lighter DC power adapter with an attached 6' cord.
Signal Output: There are two methods of inputting the signal into your car stereo system. If your stereo receiver has an auxiliary input, you can use the 3.5mm mini-jack output on the back of the docking module to feed satellite audio directly into the receiver. If the stereo has no aux input, you can use the Stream Jockey's built-in FM wireless modulator and tune to the selected transmitting frequency on your stereo's FM tuner to hear the satellite audio.
