Enjoy crispier and tastier food with the DeLonghi Roto Deep Fryer with 1.5 lb food capacity. You can save on oil consumption by using half the oil of traditional fryers with the Roto Fryer's tilted rotating basket, which also achieves crispier results every time. If messy, hot oil cleanup scares you away from using deep fryers, the patented easy clean oil draining system will help combat your fear. Simply pull out the hose stored in the front of the fryer and drain the oil into the included oil-collecting container The non-stick interior and dual filtration with included replacement filters also help with the easy cleanup and lingering odor protection. If your kids like to help with the cooking, you can feel safe using the fryer with them around because of the cool touch exterior walls, the detachable cord, which features a magnetic cord that easily detaches from the fryer if accidentally pulled and the patented condensation shield, which prevents oil from dripping onto the cord connection. You can check the frying progress without having to dodge splattering oil with windowed lid and outer cool touch handle. It raises and lowers the basket while the fryer lid is closed. Other highlights includes adjustable thermostat and digital timer.

Product Specifications:

  • Achieve crispier and tastier results with only half the oil usage by using the tilted rotating basket with 1-1/2 lb food capacity
  • No longer deal with messy, hot oil with the patented easy clean oil draining system.
  • Check the frying progress while safely avoiding hot oil with the outer cool touch handle.
  • Adjustable thermostat and indicator light; the temperature can be set between 300 and 370 degrees
  • Don't worry about over-frying, just set the digital removable timer and the alarm will go off to remind you to check the food

It is just perfect. 1.5L of oil and that is it. The frying basket rotates, so the French Fries fry evenly. Easy to clean as well. Just TOP!

worst deep fryer I've ever bought. Okay uses less oil, but put anything in and temperature drops heaps and takes ages to come back up again. Not what you want for deep frying. Off to the dump after 2 months

Have had DeLonghi roto deep fryers for over 20 yrs. I had two from years ago one lasted 18 yrs. & I replaced it with another DeLonghi roto fryer (always have 2 one for french fries only & the other for breaded items). The other one lasted for over 20 yrs. I just recently replaced it with another DeLonghi roto fryer. I really like that the roto fryers take such a small amount of oil for use & do such a great job of frying. Would recommend.

I bought this to make healthier chips / fries, and it cooks them well, and It is easy to drain the oil and clean. The unit has a few big issues though. 1. The cord is 24 inches long and way to short. 2. The unit does not have a power light so it is easy to leave switched on and not know. 3. The unit does not have a power button / switch so it has to be unplugged every time. 4. Sometimes when lifting the basket handle after cooking, the unit lid will flip up (without pressing the lid button) and splash scolding oil everywhere.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Love it! It does what it is supposed to do. I love the circular angled cooking of it. It seems to get everything evenly cooked, but not saturated completely in oil. The longevity is yet to be seen since I have only owned it a month or so, but being a DeLonghi I really am not worried about it lasting.

I have just purchased my 3rd deep fryer. I am and have always been very satisfied with the product. There is only one change that I would make if it were possible and that would be for a better way to clean the fryer other than that I am completely satisfied with everything.

I have had oil deep fryers in the past. This is above the quality of other deep fryers. It is easy to clean-no mess as far as removing the used oil. The rotating basket is unbelievable and provides even frying. Food is great in the fryer.

Best Fryer there is, needs some design changes.

Got this to make Chicken Wings, Veggies & Falafels . The rotating basket cooks the food extremely evenly, and the food seems to absorb much less oil because it is rotating in and out of the oil on a slant. This is by far the best fryer there is. From the low volume of oil, to the great tasting food it produces, to the filter on top to the ease of cleanup. Amazing fryer. Because of the quality of this product alone, I will buy other DeLonghi appliances in the future. However, and DeLonghi take notice of my comment. You need to update this design to include an ON / OFF switch. Plugging it in and unplugging to turn it on and off, is lame. And by omitting a switch, you totally downgrade the design of this otherwise extremely well designed product. With an indicator light on it so you can tell it is on! Like come on, how much would a switch like that cost to add? The Power Cord - This one scares me. The connector that goes in the back has two exposed electrical prongs. If you plug it in the wall first, even though your directions clearly state otherwise, and touch that bare protruding metal, THE USER WILL FRY INSTEAD OF THE FOOD! You could easily remedy this by redesigning the cord, so the exposed metal is would be recessed, instead of protruding, in a plastic housing. I realize it is made this way so if you move the fryer with hot oil, there is never a risk of the cord jerking the unit causing the oil to slosh out and burn the user. Fry by oil, or Fry be electrical shock ? What a choice. Just redesign it, I'm sure some smart mechanical engineer can figure it out. But remember, you still need the on off switch - with an indicator light. The Timer - ialthough it has a timer, it is a nothing timer. It should turn off the fryer when the timer is hits zero. Right now it is nothing more than a two bit stopwatch that has nothing to do with the function of the unit whatsoever. It should be powered by the unit, forget popping it out and replacing a watch battery. ALSO, It NEEDS TO BE BACKLIT. From the acute angle you use the appliance, ie standing over it a few feet from the counter, you cannot see the timer readout unless you bend down to look at it. And if the ambient light from the kitchen is not hitting the LCD screen just right, you cannot see it at all. So Mr Product Manager, get on the ball and take my suggestions. The electrical situation is a HUGE liability for your company. The on off switch, a needed feature. The timer interface and backlighting of the readout, a genuine upgrade that puts your fyer at the highest level of anything comparable out there. Yes it will cost more for those changes, but after using this fryer, and realizing how amazing it is, I would be willing to pay more for it, and even upgrade from the one I currently have. I am reposting this review on Amazon, where I purchased it, and anywhere else I can, to try and get you to make these changes. Especially to the electrical cord.
