I had and old style hand cranked version. I injured my shoulder in an accident a few years ago and hadn't been able to make fresh pasta. Now I can, so much easier and no pain.

The kitchenaid pasta cutter and roller set is such a game changer, no need kneading effort thanks to Kitchenaid stand mixer and dough hook. The roller and cutter set was easy to attach, just one sec, its a bit heavy so i have to be careful not to drop it down to kitche surface but other than that, its great to make pasta. Also the set comes with mini dusty pan so easy to clean the flour in machine.

The pasta roller and cutters could not be easier to use! I've used the pasta roller multiple times to make ravioli, and was impressed by how simple the process was. The thickness of the dough can be adjusted on the dial, and the roller itself is very sturdy. Such a breeze to clean too - simply brush between the roller gap using the brush provided. This has quickly become an integral part of my kitchen!

This attachment is wonderful! Being attached to the stand mixer hub, it has plenty of clearance underneath to guide the pasta along with both hands if/when necessary, unlike the manual crank-arm countertop types. I know this attachment is going to get a lot of use.
