We purchased the Panasonic flat screen to replace a failed DLP TV in our bedroom. Wanted an HD TV since we have FiOS cable and a Samsung Blu Ray DVD (which includes Internet services such as NetFlix).

Researched LCD/LED vs Plasma and quite honestly found the the plasma TV more pleasing to the eye relative to color rendition, crispness of image and less screen glare. This obviously in a very subjective area since some will prefer the LCD over the Plasma flat screens.

The Panasonic 50" Plasma has proved to be an excellent unit and we are totally pleased with our purchase.

Comment on the sound...if you are expecting high quality sound from the TV speakers then you will be disappointed. In my opinion there is no flat screen TVs out there that produces what I would call dynamic sound quality so why expect something that is not there. Just to clarify... the speakers in the TV are OK just not the quality we would want. We have a home theater set up so I was not concerned with the speakers/sound quality from the TV and now we have excellent picture and sound with our setup.

Used the included TV stand only for a couple days and was easy to install and stable, but we had a new TV stand/cabinet being delivered and allowed for the TV to be placed a a higher position

I would recommend this TV (TC-P50G25 or its slightly less featured cousin the TC-P50S2) and is an excellent buy at its price point.

I use this TV as my main TV in my living room. I have it attached to a Dennon A/A Receiver with a 7.2 speaker system. It replaces an older 42" Panasonic plasma which I am giving to my Father.The setup was very easy. I use the THX viewing mode. When I ran the WOW calibration Blu-Ray disc the settings were spot on except for sharpness which I reduced to 40 from 75. The black level is astounding as is the color balance and purity. I especially like the back lit remote.So far I have not found anything bad about this TV.[...]
