This is an excellent coffee maker. Specifically we LOVE the various size options and the autobrew for the mornings. However, we cannot use the autobrew because of the LOUD BEEPS that cannot be turned off. A real shame otherwise great coffee maker.

after purchasing this from the recommendation of the SCA the first one I got was faulty and what do you know after a replacement was given same thing... error codes, stuck on cleaning cycle, small amount of coffee brewed...

This is biggest pile of garbage I've ever purchased. Constantly reads e-21 error. The cleaning mode takes wayyy too long. Would never buy again. Lasted about 8 months. Now it's in the trash.

We prefer French press coffee but purchased this drip coffee maker for convenience of having coffee ready when we wake and have a busy morning getting our toddler ready and off to daycare and ourselves off to work. Thankfully it was on sale because I would not pay full price for it. It seems to work as well as any other machine I've used in the past. My main issue with this machine is how frigging loud the beep is when you're programming it and when it starts and stops brewing. The beeping is waking me up every morning. IT IS SO LOUD!

We love the coffee maker and haven't even used half of its settings and abilities yet. My only complaint is the beeping, and to my understanding, there is no way to turn it off. We set the program to make coffee in the morning automatically. It beeps loudly when it starts and then beeps loudly twice when it's finished. Our bedroom is decenly far away from the kitchen but it wakes me up. My husband gets up earlier than I do to drink coffee. I don't care or want to hear the coffee maker when it's finished. Someone please tell me if there is a way to silence this. The manual and Google were not helpful.

I don't like it. Coffee is awful and I have tried many settings, water and coffee levels and can't get anything to taste right. I am going to try and return it.

Within two weeks the display screen broke. You can't tell what time it is and it's difficult to set the auto brew function. The machine pumps water too fast over the coffee and it overflows ever time. Coffee is bitter and generally un-enjoyable. We contacted Braun customer support to get a replacement unit sent due to broken screen - what a wonderfully painful process that took about a full month. They contacted me to say they were sending a different model which I approved - what they failed to mention was that they were sending a different color. We received the ugly white unit about 6 to 7 weeks after first submitting the ticket. We contacted customer support again informing them that we were never told we would be getting a different color. Surprise - nothing they can do! I'll be selling the broken model as well as the brand new model and buying a different brand that actually makes a decent cup of coffee and doesn't break within a month of owning it. I'll never purchase a Braun or Delonghi product again and I'll be passing along my negative experience to anyone who asks.

The good: The reservoir. Not having to measure out exactly the amount of coffee you want each time. I do wish the reservoir had more capacity. Brew choice: Bold, Gold, etc is good also. The not so good: My biggest complaint is that you can't turn on the hot plate. Why is this important? Because sometimes you want to brew less than a pot or 1/2 pot. Those are the only two settings that use the hot plate. It assumes that If I want to brew anything less it goes into a mug and you don't need to keep it warm in a carafe. That's not always that case, at least with me. 20 oz is two cups of coffee for me so why not have an option where I can brew it in the carafe and have the hot plate keep it hot until I can finish it?

Best coffee maker ever owned. Only issue is nothing in manual states it has an auto shut off or if it does how much time before it does shut off. Can't believe this safety feature is not listed. I worry I may forget to power it off now.
