Comments about Calphalon Unison Nonstick 5-qt. Dutch Oven with Cover
I've been using this piece for several years now and it's my go-to for many cooking tasks. It works great for hard boiling eggs evenly (holds a little over a dozen eggs in one layer) With the glass lid you can see when it starts to simmer easily. I also steam a ton of vegetables in it because it's wide enough to hold a larger steam rack, helpful when cooking for a family of 6. Again, the larger size helps vegetables steam evenly and I can see what's going on through he lid. The dome shape of the lid helps too. I also have flat surfaced Calphalon lids and i like that this lid doesn't smash down on broccoli when steaming a large amount. It's a larger pot but yet very manageable and not super heavy or bulky to wash and move. I also use it for boiling pasta, browning ground beef, cooking rice, soups, and boiling potatoes. I cook for my family daily and if I had to choose 5 pots/pans that I couldn't live without (and I have many) this one definitely makes the top 5. It's a great piece!

This is absolutely my favorite pot for almost any dish. I use it for soups, stews, sauces, chili, you name it! I especially love the sear feature , and it is a breeze to clean. The unison series is the best! Thank you, Calphalon!!!
