I received the Canon Pixma g4200 free to review. My initial reaction was that it is a nice looking printer, it`s sleek and small enough to sit next to my computer without looking bulky or out of place. The initial set up was fairly easy, getting it linked with both my laptop and desktop went smooth. It was easy to instal the ink cartridges as well. This printer has ink `wells` that you pour a bottle of ink into that is then fed to the ink cartridges. This printer promotes long lasting ink, as someone who prints a lot I will be excited to see how long it takes to run out of ink. The print quality is good and it seems to print at an average speed and it isn`t noisy. The scanner also works well, it is a bit slow but gets the job done with a good picture. The two downsides to this printer for me is that the paper feed is in the back where it stands up and outside of the printer instead of having a drawer. This takes space to have paper sticking out the back I don`t particularly like this function, I would prefer a tray. The other thing I have noticed is I can`t get it to print double sided. This is a problem for me as I often print large articles and documents that are 50+ pages, I don`t want thick unmanageable amounts of papers because I can`t print on both sides. Overall, I think this is a good little printer with print quality that matches other printers in this price range.

I received the Cannon printer for to try and wrote a review. I have had for about a week and love this printer. It is very user friendly from set up to actual use. there are many different thing this printer does that my previous one did not. For example this serves as a fax as well as copier and scanner. It has a document feeder which is one of my favorite features. My previous printer did not have this and made it tedious to make multiple copies. I feel that the ink will last longer than on my previous printer as well. Although I haven't used it long enough to see how long the ink will last it seems more efficient. The documents and images are crystal clear. I am very fortunate to have been provided this printer to test and keep. I definitely feel it is an upgrade from my previous printer.

I received this Canon Pixma G4200 printer to review and in exchange for my review, I'm able to keep it which was awesome because I really needed a new printer with very good quality printing and better features and this one has all the above. I simply love it. It works perfect with not one malfunction.

The Canon Pixma g4200 is the magic genie of printing. My husband and I researched printers before choosing the g4200! It has premium high quality pictures and crisp lettering. It keeps up.with printing hundreds of invoices a day! And teenagers many homework projects!The setbuo took less than 15 minutes and we were printing! Directions were easy to follow and clear. The refillable ink containers and amount are our favorite quality of this amazing all in one printer. The ink containers hold 30 times as much in as 30 ink cartridges!What a time saver life saver! It is quick and keeps up with four attached computers and lap tops.It never let`s us down! The Canon Pixma g4200 has made our life easier because Canon has identified the ink cartridge constant replacement issue and solved it with the refillable ink containers in the Pixma g4200! This review is in exchange for a free printer, but the opinions are my own. It took me 30 minutes from opening the box to sitting at my computer to connect it to my WiFi. It could have been faster, but I wanted to read and follow the instructions very carefully. Installation took longer, but that was my own unfamiliarity with both the router and the MacBook I connected it to. This printer does NOT have Linux drivers, the computer I'm used to using. It took 10 minutes to connect to my Android phone, from scanning the QR code in the Getting Started manual to printing out the first photo from my phone. I love the giant ink reservoirs. A regular black ink cartridge holds between 10 and 18 ml of ink. This printer comes with ink bottles containing 135 ml black and 70 ml for each color. And the reservoirs are at the front of the machine with one clear wall so you can easily see at a glance how much is left. It can be messy to fill though. I HIGHLY recommend wearing gloves while you do it. I thought I was careful, but still ended up with a bit of blue ink on my fingernails. The Android App interface is easy to use. It's configured a bit different from the iBrother app I'm used to using, but still very user friendly. I was able to print from and scan to my phone. It has templates stored directly in the printer. You can print out notebook pages, graph paper, handwriting paper, staff paper, checkbox forms and weekly and monthly calendars. Very nice if you prefer to do those things by hand, especially the graph paper. I don't like the open paper feed. You can't store paper in there, so if you use your printer infrequently you'll want to remove any paper and close the door between uses to keep dust out. In summary, I think it's a very nice WiFi enabled household printer, and will work well in my home.
