Purchased my Cuisinart three weeks ago and It has failed to brew a good cup of coffee. No matter adjusting the amount of coffee or water, the coffee tastes bitter and smells bitter as its brewing.

Great, with minor flaws...

Great, but...difficult to keep clean...I wish Cuisinart could figure out a way to not let the steam blow back through the mechanism, which makes the grounds sticky.

Not sure about grind and brew

This is our third Cuisinart coffeemaker. Which should tell how much the like them. However it's the first grind and brew. Before we only had the brew coffeemaker. We are not pleased with the grind function, the grinding can not be adjusted to finer coffee. The compartment that holds the grinds is extremely complicated to clean and not well designed. Other then the grinding part, we like everything are very pleased with the coffeemaker.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Easy to use but...

Coffeemaker is easy to use. Biggest complaint is my own fault. Since I bought it online, I didn't realize you had to measure out your coffee every time, vs. keeping the hopper full of beans and it uses the right amount of coffee based on the water you add. This is how the previous model worked that this coffee maker replaced. Other than that the coffeemaker works great.

I gave it a 4 instead of 5 because it takes a very long time to brew, at least in comparison to our previous coffeemaker.

Makes great coffee and the carafe keeps it hot

This is a great coffee maker and the SS carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours. It has a nice grinder and makes perfect grounds. I wish the brew water went through the grinder to get the fine dust out, that would make it easier to clean. The steam from the brewing makes the residue stick in the grinder and you have to wash it out and dry it really good between pots.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

This is a great coffee maker! I love the fact that it has a built in grinder - you can measure out the beans from 1 - 10 cups and let it do the work of grinding and brewing fresh coffee. I have it set to start automatically each morning, and when I'm ready, fresh, hot coffee. Doesn't require a lot of space. Previously, we had a full counter with a coffee maker and a separate coffee grinder - this has combined all those into one.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
