Deco Essential KN95 Protective Masks offer filtering protection from non-oil-based particles found with wildfires, PM 2.5 air pollution, volcanic eruptions, or bio-aerosols (i.e. viruses).
Filtering facepiece respirators (FFR), also known as disposable respirators, are subject to regulatory standards around the world. Deco Essential KN95 Masks are considered to be equivalent to US NIOSH N95 and European FFP2 respirators.
During emergency situations, health authorities often reference these standards when making respirator recommendations, such as that certain populations should use an “N95, FFP2, or equivalent” respirator.
With this level of personal protection in mind, these masks are proven to be effective in filtering air and preventing harmful particulates and/or contaminants from entering your respiratory system. Utilizing activated carbon, each mask filters 95% of hazardous particles from the air.
Comfortable and lightweight to wear, the soft premium cotton and non-woven fabric reduces skin irritation.
For FFR masks to work properly, one must ensure that they are properly fitted and tight to the face. Individuals with beards will not achieve a proper fit for 100% filtration and will remain at risk. FFR masks are not designed for long-term wear and it’s recommended to not use them multiple times.
