The Dyson Supersonic r Hair Dryer in Ceramic Pink/Rose Gold is a lightweight precision hair dryer engineered for fast drying, controlled styling, and reduced heat exposure. The Supersonic r uses a Dyson Hyperdymium motor spinning at up to 110,000 rpm to generate high-pressure airflow. That airflow passes through a streamlined heater using 10 heater foils positioned within the curve of the device, helping distribute heat and airflow evenly for fast drying and more precise styling.

At approximately 0.7 lb / 325 g, the Supersonic r is designed to reduce hand fatigue during extended styling. Dyson states that the redesigned body is approximately 30% smaller and 20% lighter than its previous professional-format dryer design, while maintaining powerful airflow.

The dryer includes five intelligent styling attachments. Each attachment uses an integrated RFID chip that allows the dryer to recognize the installed accessory and apply a preset temperature and airflow range. The system also remembers the last-used setting for each attachment, making it easier to return to preferred styling configurations.

Negative-ion technology helps reduce static and control flyaways. Dyson states that the system can reduce frizz by up to 46% under its test conditions while helping produce a smoother-looking finish.

The dryer provides four heat settings, including a cold shot, along with adjustable airflow control. Its rated airflow is approximately 12.4 liters per second, with a 1,700-watt power rating and a 6-foot power cable for home styling flexibility.
