No Battery Needed & No Driver Needed
The Bluetooth transmitter is always on when plugged into the Switch's USB-C port. Alternatively, an adapter can also be used to plug it into the Switch dock's USB-A port. Bluetooth dongle draws less than 1% of the power from the Switch's own battery. It also uses the Switch's built-in driver, which means no bricking problem.

Simple to Pair and Use
