Great unit I shut off k and x band. Highway police and troopers use Ka band 99% of the time so no more false and irritating alarms. Range is good don't think it's better than the old redline range.. like the the arrows but can be misleading a little when cars on the opposite side. Retuned a brand new solo for this and i am pleased and definitely recommend this product. New magnet and suction cup is awesome

The app and distance to radar are nice touches. Range seems reasonable. But false alarms, especially from vehicle sensing systems are far too common. Sticky cup mount often comes off windshield if left with detector on it overnight or during periods of temperature change. Laser warning routinely goes off with false alerts, seemingly reacting to brake lights. Having had several of the original Escorts and Passports and V1's the overall performance isn't best in class and fully sorted as those were when they hit the market.

I have been an Escort customer for years. I am extremely disappointed with the Bluetooth connectivity with this unit. In fact it does not work with iOS 11. Really? They didn't think to do testing while iOS 11 was available for App developers. The official word from Escort is that the issue is with their "classic" devices. Their word not mine. I bought my Max360 directly from them in April 2017 (less than 6 months ago). Mine doesn't work so I guess they sold me an old unit since mine is a "classic". Completely unacceptable. Escort is no longer the good company it was. Stay away!

I see a lot of negative reviews, I've been using Escort Radar detectors a long time. This Max 360 hasn't disappointed me. Using it with the Escort Live App makes this detector well worth the money I spent on it. In the city it is really sensitive and will annoy those who haven't learned to read a radar detector, as for me, This radar detector is another tool. I know the false signals and which signals are in fact radar signals, it takes time to learn the detector, but once you do, you'll never drive without one again. I put the Max 360 and my old Escort 8500 side by side. The Max 360 beat it hands down. Many of the false signals you experience in the beginning will go away as the Radar detector learns the area you're driving in. Once it learns where the false signals are they do go away. The GPS learns as you drive, give it time. It works. I drive a lot due to my job. I have seen this radar detector detect signals as far away as 6 miles down the road. Those giving this detector a bad review, just haven't figured out how to use a radar detector the correct way. There's more to it than plugging it in and setting it on the dash. People new to radar detectors need to learn and understand how they work. They need to learn how to differentiate a false signal from the real thing. It takes time, but you'll eventually learn, Once you do, you'll drive with confidence and never worry about a ticket again. But you have to understand what the radar detector is telling you. The radar detector is only as good as the person using that radar detector. This thing is expensive, but after using it for a while now, it was well worth the money i spent on it.

AT a little over a year old the display is starting to become unreadable even at full brightness especially in daylight. Would have thought a product of this cost would have lasted better. Loved it while i could still see the display but a poor value proposition for a year of usability.

I have had the 360 for over a year now. I have owned an escort detector of some kind for 30+ years. I am very disappointed in that I can not leave it in my windshield for overheating and shutting down. I called the factory and they said it was a design flaw and there was not anything they could do. A DESIGN flaw? HELLO. This is a device that is suppose to be in the windshield with the sun hitting it all the time and it cannot stand heat? Come on now, none of my previous escort units had this issue and this is suppose to be the latest technology? Even in the winter if the sun is out it shuts down and says to unplug do to heat.

I have had the 360 for at least a year and a half. I can't tell you how many speeding tickets it has prevented. The long range of this detector has given me ample time to make sure I am within an acceptable speed range. The longest I have been warned is at least a mile and a half, maybe more. Having differentiation between ahead or behind has provided a huge advantage in determining how to respond to a threat. I couldn't go back to a simple detector after owning this 360. When I bought this, I actually bought a Valentine at the same time. It worked very well, but didn't have all of the features that the 360 had. The app, itself, was a huge advantage. The clear display that is able to be interpreted at a glance, day or night, was actually the biggest. I couldn't tell which band was alarming on the Valentine since I wasn't able to see the label next to whichever light was illuminated in the dark on the V1. I sent the V1 back for a refund! This detector does false more than I'd prefer. Isn't quite loud enough. Shows cameras that have been gone for a couple years. The side detection is useless. Those are minor issues from my perspective. Where it counted most, Escort got it right. One other thing is its resistance to heat. It takes Phoenix, AZ heat without flaw unless I have a sunscreen under it, which heats the unit up while it is just sitting. A couple minutes of AC and it works perfectly, again. I wish my phone could handle the heat this well.

If you're in a area it's blocking a store door.you better glance at the bars.if it's the same as the radar it blocks the cop too.they should make it override the silencer if the bars peg out.in my opinion.the only problem I've had is the lettering and color coming off the top outer buttons.its about a year and a half old.love it though.gave my wife my 9500ix after her last ticket and got myself the max360.now I need to move the 9500ix to motorcycle and get her a max360 also.both have excellent range but once you get used to the arrows hard to do without them

I use my Max 360 detector daily and I pair it with the app on my iPhone. Overall I am very happy with the service. However, on 9/19/17 Apple updated their OS to iOS11 and since then, I can't connect my phone to the detector through the app. Apple puts out beta versions of any upcoming OS change and this helps app developers tweak their apps, to allow for a smooth transition whenever the new OS gets rolled out. It is disappointing that a product that costs over $600, would have basic issues like this and it is something I hope Escort works harder on in the future. For now, I will wait for them to update their app and hope it won't be too long in coming.
