I've had m8ne about 7 years n they still bang n are crystal clear. If you're having issues it's because you hooked them up wrong. I hv the dual 8s also. Best speakers I've ever owned!

At first I was disappointed as I single wire a Marantz PM6006 to LF posts (the lower 2) of these speakers. The sound was ok. Then I moved the location of the speakers and hook the Marantz on the HF posts(the upper 2). The sound was harsh on highs. Then I did some reading- including Marantz`s Manual, and Bi-Wire them. And that`s when the speakers shine! The harshness was gone and a more organic sound settled in. While you can still single wire them, I think the post connectors are not doing a good job to transfer good signal. So I suspect the connectors are not a good quality. So, Bi-Wire them or try better connectors would be my advice before calling them harsh. :-) I don`t have a Sub-Woofer to pair them with ,but that`s another story. They don`t seem to provide clear and punchy bass alone. After all, can`t expect that from 6.5 drivers.

I recently upgraded from a Bose Accaustimass 10 ( I know all you AV enthusiast are saying well no duh!! It's an upgrade) I also had a Polk Audio TSI 5.1 set up that I thaought sounded amazing before I made a poor life choice when I switched to Bose.(In my defense I had moved and wanted a smaller set up. What a mistake that was) having the klipsch R-26F paired with RC-25 and R-15M for a few months now has really shown me what I've been missing out on. The clarity and detail from glass shattering or a transformer (transformers movies) crashing through a building to a house rattling explosion going off in an action movie(I don't use a sub) . Klipsch is sure to give you an experience you have been missing out on. I had to watch movies I've seen already just to hear things I've been missing all this time, and don't get me started with the music. I recommend listening to concerts and live performances(put your feet up and close your eyes) makes you feel like you scored front row seets.

Internal crossover is only 2nd order. Big disappointment. I wish I kept my Polks.

Amazing nature sound for under $500. Look great, sound great with perfect mid, crisp high, and enough bass.

I use the speakers for both movie watching and music listening although for music I just prefer stereo only. These speakers replaced a set of Definitive Technology Pro Monitors which were pretty good in itself. For my music listening the Klipsch immediately opened up the room with a very nice airiness to the sound, almost 3 dimensional and very detailed sound quality. The workmanship on the cabinet and components also appears first class. Oh, did I tell you I bought the Klipsch R-12 SW to mate up with it. This sub replaces an aging Definitive Tech 15" sub. The Klipsch has much more control over the bass, no bass ringing, very tight.

I decided to upgrade and overhaul my whole audio system. I have these paired with a Cambridge Audio CXA80 amplifier, CP2 phono amp and a Rega Planar 2 turntable. They are bi-wired to the amp since it supports this option. The sound is INCREDIBLE. These speakers are such a great value. They out-perform speakers within their price bracket, and also speakers that are way more expensive. They are plenty LOUD and punchy. I'm a Klipsch convert! One note- while these are super efficient, I wouldn't go below 80 watts per channel if you occasionally turn it up like I do. It's ultimately up to your personal taste.

i absolutely fell inlove with the sound quality of these floor speakers ive never heard my music this clean and crisp as well as watching my movie.subwoofer is a must. i wanna thank everyone that design these speakers you all made me wanna listen to music again. thank you all from the bottom of my heart im so happy.

Used these to replace back channel that were older and "still alive" ceramic tweeter. Was concerned I would lose some of the detail but pleasantly surprised these maintained the highs I already had and added a very much richer channel. They are paired with Definitive Technology BP8060STs up front and Pioneer 12s so worried they may get lost but they don't.
