Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi 2 Dual Op-Amp Bass Fuzz Pedal
Bass's favorite fuzz just got a sequel.
Fusing the Big Muff's storied history as a favorite fuzz pedal amongst bassists with the long-lost Op-Amp fuzz that never was is the Bass Big Muff Pi 2. With a surprising tone all its own, the Big Muff Pi 2 made waves when the original circuit from the 1970s was resurrected in collaboration with Josh Scott of JHS Pedals. This take on the iconic pedal is optimized for bass players looking for a tasty fuzz without sacrificing any low-end flavor.
The Bass Big Muff 2 features the signature midrange grind of the original with the flexible EQ and virtually endless sustain expected in any Big Muff. The Bass version adds a BLEND knob and BASS BOOST switch to the VOL, SUSTAIN, TONE control set. The BLEND knob mixes the dry and fuzz signals to set the perfect balance of distortion without losing clarity and foundational low-end. Flip the BASS BOOST switch to make an even bigger impact, especially while running the TONE knob at higher, more trebly settings. These added controls let the bass player dial in the best fuzz tone without sacrificing their ability to shake walls and rattle halls.
The Bass Big Muff Pi 2 features a true bypass footswitch with Latching/Momentary Action. Click the footswitch for normal latching functionality or press and hold the footswitch of a momentary burst of fuzz mayhem!

Product Features:
9VDC 200mA Power Jack: An optional 9VDC, center-negative power supply may be connected to the power jack to provide power without a battery. The Bass Big Muff Pi 2 requires 25mA at 9VDC on a center-negative plug. Do not exceed 12VDC at the power jack.
Volume Knob: Sets the output level of your Bass Big Muff 2.
Sustain Knob: Adjusts the amount of sustain and distortion.
Blend Knob: Mixes between the dry and distorted signals. Turn this knob fully counterclockwise for 100% dry signal and fully clockwise for 100% wet signal. Setting the BLEND knob to noon yields a 50/50 mix of dry/distorted signal.
Tone Knob: Provides a range of sounds from high treble to deep bass. As you turn the knob clockwise, treble increases and bass decreases.
Bass Boost Switch: This 2-position toggle switch allows you to add more low-end to the fuzz tone. Flip the switch to the up position to add a low-end boost to the distortion. It is most effective with higher TONE knob settings. In the down position, the Bass Boost is fully bypassed.
Output Jack: Audio output jack, located on the left side of the pedal.
Input Jack: Audio input jack, located on the right side of the pedal.
Footswitch & Status LED: The soft footswitch engages or bypasses the effect. The status LED lights when the effect is engaged. A mechanical relay is employed for True Bypass. The footswitch includes a momentary action when you press and hold the switch for more than half a second. The momentary footswitch action may be disabled.
