Other thoughts: i like the fact that it can do so many things. what i don't like is that the music playlist always starts with song #1 after a shut down. also the start guide does not fully explain the many operations,and neither did the manual on the web site.also plugs in the headset jack don't fit properly resulting in much static and other interuptions.

Other thoughts: We live off the grid and are always looking for appliances that use little power. This player fits the bill and is a great little inexpensive music player. Got some nice little external speakers and can play music for hours on battery.
I really like the explorer and desktop option for looking for the music I want to play and I can easily transfer music from my computer by dragging and dropping. That way I can set up my own music lists in files and play them as I want them.
Used a Sansa SanDisk for awhile, but it is just too tiny and hard to navigate around. Interestingly, the micro sd card I used with it was playable as is on the this player. And I like that I can program and then switch out micro sd cards for lots of music storage.
