I recently upgraded from the first generation of the 65" curve. (UN65HU7250) That was an amazing Tv but there is no comparison when upgrading to and SUHD. -Things To Love- Huge improvements to accuracy of the remote and pointer- Unmatched clarity, color and contrast- Bright vivid picture and dark solid blacks- Slim elegant design- Quick and painless setup- Easy to navigate menu- Ability to continue displaying a smooth clear image even during the fastest moving scenes- No glare issues- Most of all... The ability to have an amazing experience regardless of what's on the screen. Gaming, 3D movies, a cooking show....doesn't matter. This TV will exceed expectations in every situation. -Would have liked to seen improvements with- Patching spots from backlighting- ( Huge improvements over my UN65HU7250, but its much more noticable than I would have expected. Not an issue or problem, just something that I would like to see less of with my next purchase) Menu may be simple to navigate, but it seems to be glitchy from time to time. Tons of processing power and technology crammed in this Tv, I would expect the interface to be consistently quick and smooth- Built in speakers- I understand that once you start packing these TVs with all sorts of hardware to give you the best picture possible.... there is little to no room for speakers to fit. I have always prefered external audio over what comes built in, but I was not impressed at all with the internal speakers on this model. The sound seemed to come directly out of the back of the TV and into the wall it was mounted on. Again, something that is not a big deal to me. I just expected to hear a little more power. -That brings me to the next one... THE BIG ONE- Previous setup was UN65HU7250 with HW-H7500 curved soundbar. I assumed this soundbar would attach the same way but it does not. The bracket that mounts the soundbar to the television is far to short to attach to the 65JS9000. This was a HUGE disappointment because if you remember, the H7500 wasn't a cheap little speaker. It looks like I will have to replace sound bar with the newer version, (HW-J7500) if I want to keep the soundbar mounted to the Tv. BUT on the brightside, the 65JS9000 does have the silver finish and I have the option of going with the HW-J7501. This way I don't have a beautiful metallic silver TV hanging on my wall with a black soundbar attached underneath. It's gotta look good!

The picture is awesome, and initial setup was a breeze. The television is so loaded with features it will take some time to become familiar with them. The one connect box is amazing, makes attaching various devices easier as you do not need to move the screen or reach around the screen to connect.

Bought my 65 inch curve over a year ago, and though Samsung seemed to have rushed development of the smart apps and had some growing pains, I can say that the support was wonderful and ALL of the problems with the smart apps were quickly fixed. The plus side to this TV: 1) The smart apps, like Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, Pandora, Live Radio, and various news tv sources are enough to keep you entertained without paying the massive price for cable or satellite 2) The UHD upscaling will make even the most vintage of TV shows such as "The X-Files" look just amazing! 3) With an optional Bluetooth keyboard and the smart remote surfing the internet with the built in web browser is a breeze and every bit as easy to do as if you were sitting at your PC. 4) Built in screen sharing allows you to stream your cell phone or tablets screen directly to your TV seamlessly 5) The builtin YouTube app allows you to control and play content on your TV through your smartphone or tablet which makes finding videos much quicker The Bad: 1) The Wifi requires a Wireless N Network with AES Encryption only to get the best streaming quality error free. This was the "growing pains" mentioned above, and I can't be sure if Samsung has added support for TKIP encryption in any of the 290 software updates. Since I've made these changes to my WIfi router the TV has worked error free, and lag free! 2) The conundrum: Is it a "smart TV" .. or is it just "semi-smart?" This TV has amazing capabilities that just aren't being taken advantage of! The most important of which, is the Bluetooth Keyboard. While it works in the TV's built in web browser, it doesn't work in much of anything else other then apps created directly by Samsung! This is a huge disappointment and source of frustration when logging into new apps and having to use the standard TV remote to "find" or "locate" each letter of your username and password one letter at a time, step over to it, and then click it. For me, it takes nearly an hour after doing a complete software reset to restore and login to all of my apps. Fortunately, since changing my WIfi to AES encryption this hasn't needed to be done. ;) 3) The motion remote that's activated by pointing at the screen and works by using just simple hand motion DOES NOT WORK EVEN IN MODERATELY DARK PLACES! You almost literally have to have blinding light on you and your hands to control the TV with the motion controls and the built in camera. 4) Recent software updates have taken away the nice GUI and replaced it with a shortcut or quick access menu of your "favorites" which often get erased by opening certain apps. 5) Pet Peeve: I would really REALLY love to see the Samsung UHD splash screen that comes up ONLY ONCE, only the first time you turn on the TV, I'd like to see that every time I turn the TV on. And I'm not sure why they wouldn't want this 2 second splash to show on power up, even as an option. It's branding for them.. and I think it looks way cool! LOL

I am impressed with the design of the TV, I am a little less impressed with the picture compared to the price. I see online that is $1000.00 cheaper than when I bought it in a store so that was depressing. I decided to get on the 4K wagon and replace my Plasma and overall; it is a great TV. The refresh rate and Contrast does not compare to my plasma but it has amazing features and I do enjoy the style.
