Pros: I love it, light weight, you can carry around a power bank to keep it charged. It allows you to use cleaner power at higher volumes than a phone or MP3 player puts out. When you crank them up, they are probably putting out a good deal of distortion, which raises havoc with speakers. Now you can keep the phone volume down some and compensate with the amp. I have also used it as a pre-amp for a tablet to a unit that only had RCA jack inputs. Say a MP3 player, Tablet, phone to a older Receiver that has no inputs for these newer gadgets. Get a 1/8 stereo mini plug that Y's out into a Left and Right RCA plug, plug those into the CD inputs on the back of the receiver (never use the phono RCA inputs!!!!!!!) Turn the volume up part way on the MP3 player, Turn on and up the E6 volume (which is acting as a preamp of sorts) and Turn on and up the volume a little while on the CD button picked and you should be able to hear your devices and then get a little more volume out of them on that lovable old receiver, when before you couldn't. It may not be perfect, but it works, and with 3 older non digital amps in the house I'm glad I was able to find a way to make a connection and play my tunes on house speakers. It also helps with the high fidelity Headphones that have high impedence, you can get a little more clean sound and volume with the E^ Cons: None, other than I heard they stopped making them, but I can't swear to it and I really wonder why, unless it's to market their more robust headphone amps. Pros: I hate cell phones. Yah, I'm getting to be an old fart. OK - They interrupt you when you are busy and they have no signal when you need them. So - what's this got to do with the product. Well, I've loaded many gigabytes of old Rock'n'Roll tunes on my phone. I like to listen to it on my headphones and in the car. My cell phone (Moto G) does not have enough output (gain) to play the tunes without problems. This little amp solves that problem. It's pretty easy to use, easy to charge and easy to carry. It is not a great encumbrance to the portability of the phone. (Oh yeh - that's another thing I hate about cell phones, they don't fit in my pants pockets with keys and change) The battery seems to go at least 4 hours on a full charge and it lets me play my tunes. I've only had it for a month so I can not speak to the longevity of the product. To use Frank Lloyd Wright's cliche, 'Form follows function.' It does the specified job to which it is intended. - Have a Nice Day- Cons: It's small, light so easy to lose and maybe step on. I've been trying to think of a way to attach this to my cell phone, maybe velcro so that I don't have to keep track of it. Other thoughts: This is an example of a niche market.
