Feels very secure and the car seat snaps right in when you put it down. I always double check it but have never had an issue.

This is the fourth type of child seat base I've installed. I was hoping for one that wouldn't aggravate the arthritis in my hands, and this base did very well. Installing the base only requires a moderate tugging force on the belt. The built-in latch mechanism takes care of the rest. I recommend this base for ease of installation!
