Play back the footage right on the display or review later on your computer.

    Incident Detection

    Dash Cam features automatic Incident Detection (G-Sensor), so when an incident is detected, your camera knows to save the current, last and next recordings; thereby, preserving a complete record of the event. For a close-up view of vehicle or property damage, you can remove Dash Cam 35 from your vehicle and take snapshots.

    Driver Awareness Warnings

    Dash Cam 35 features helpful driver awareness warnings to help encourage safer driving. The forward collision warning alerts if you drive too close to the car ahead. The red light and speed cameras warning alert you to nearby red light cameras or speed cameras.

    This unit does an amazing job for the price. I bought it after I got sideswiped by an oncoming vehicle, that fled the scene before I could get a license plate number. Wish I'd had the dash cam then.

    The intended use is to capture what is happening around me while traveling on distance trips. The installation components with my camera do not work. After purchase, I discovered privacy rights maybe violated by using camera. Laws vary by state. Know the laws of your area before you buy.

    It has adjustable resolution of 720p and 1080p. It has a wide screen lens that puts your peripheral vision to shame. It does not have internal memory. It comes with a 4gb microSD card but you can use a microSD card up to 64gb. It runs in a loop. It is not touch screen. The screen is 3" across. There is a crosshair in the middle so that you can center it. You can choose kph or mph. Camera starts recording as soon as you turn it on. It has a rear placed LED that clearly shows it's recording. There is a button you can press to "Save video clip". Like any Garmin product, It's easy to use!!

    Do you have to hard wire it for it to work husband uses multiple vehicles and would like to take it to what ever vehicle he's using that day

It's not that the camera has to be hardwired but that the adhesive mount is extremely difficult to remove after it is installed which would make it difficult to move to and from different vehicles.
