It's not too loud to sleep on low, but it's not all that quiet. It is adjustable to a minor degree. Overall it's a good product.

It pulls in cool air from the wooded back yard. Even though he has a small oscillating table fan which he can point toward wherever he is (i.e. bed, computer chair, etc.) this window fan really makes a difference in keeping his room from getting stuffy in the summer heat and humidity (something the small oscillating fan doesn't really accomplish on its own). I highly recommend it. The price for this fan is the best you'll find amongst like-size/power window fans, and Holmes is a great quality name-brand in fans.

It easily adjusts to any window size. It is great..no big box sitting on the floor taking up space. We have two of these and are thinking of getting another.
