The Ion Tailgater Bluetooth is a compact speaker system with wireless technology. It includes speakers, amplifier, audio inputs and Bluetooth all in one portable cabinet. Play music from your iOS, Android or other Bluetooth-compatible device while maintaining its mobility. You can also listen to your favorite radio station with the onboard AM/FM tuner. Connect the included microphone or any other audio source to the 1/4" and 1/8" audio inputs for amplification through Tailgater Bluetooth's full-range speaker. 

Tailgater Bluetooth has a built-in battery with a charge indicator, and will provide up to 12 hours of entertainment. The included power cable can be used for limitless playback.

Purchased this system for a family reunion meaning it is used once each year. Third time I went to use it no mic. Tried several other mic's and still nothing. Called repair and he told me sounds like the mic input is bad. Too bad it was out of warranty. No wonder everyone wants you to purchase an additional warranty for half the price of the unit. Went to another store and purchased another brand with a decent warranty. I would not recommend this unit to a friend. Everything else works, but I didn't buy it for a playback machine.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I bought this as a gift but tested it thoroughly first. Everything worked as described. I even plugged an acoustic/electric guitar into it, and it sounded pretty dang good. Minus 1 star because the radio antenna seemed to pick up less stations than most. Cool device and refurb price. Yee haw! #Sweepstakes
