NGP stands for "Next Generation Polymer" - a semi-rigid dense polymer. The NGP material is malleable enough to slip around and snugly hold your iPhone 4, but firm enough to withstand impacts and scrapes.
The NGP provides excellent shock-absorbing protection similar to silicone cases and is stretch and impact resistant. A top, soft matte finish coating leaves the NGP smooth to the touch.
