Good quality 3 litre stainless steel pot. I use it for steaming milk inside my 6 litre Instant Pot when I make yogurt. It's also useful for cooking stews, soups etc on stove top, and then with the silicone lid storing it in my fridge, as it is very compact. Which means I don't need to transfer food to other containers for fridge storage. So it saves unnecessary washing-up!

Actually my purchase was for the 3 litre inner pot. I have the large size Instant Pot, which I love and use all the time, it this 3 litre insert lets me cook pot in pot easily and without worry so it is now in daily use!

I went for Instant pot because it uses stainless steel inner pot. I am tired of rick cookers where the non-stick wears out, and since you cannot get replacement, you have to throw away the entire cook and get a new one. Instant pot gives a green alternative to wasteful practice.

I make pulled pork in my instant pot regularly and start off with the sauté function to brown/sear the outside of my pork pieces. As much as I love being able to cook pulled pork in about an hour and a half, I don't enjoy the additional time it takes to have to scrub the burnt bottom of this pot before I can pressure cook the pork. Every single time I use the sauté function in this pot, everything burns on it.Is there some kind of trick to getting stuff to not stick and burn? The bottom of my pot looks so awful now and everything sticks to it almost immediately. I use enough oil, and let it get nice and hot before I put food in it, as you're supposed to do with stainless steel. But it doesn't seem to matter. I've also experimented with the different temperature settings and nothing makes a difference. It would be nice if there was a way to actually set real temps on the sauté function, or even just know what the temps are on the different temp settings rather than them just being low, high, L2, L3, L4 (what on earth does that even mean???).

Having a second inner pot makes life so much easier. A second element of a meal can be cooked without having to wash up the initial container. I find that storing cooked food in a pot is then possible if there is a second one available! The quality of the spare pot is as good as the original and very reasonably priced too.
