The component DVD player is compatible with DVD-Audio & Video discs as well as DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R & DVD+RW. It can decode many of the most popular formats, including DivX, JPEG, MP3 & WMA.
The separate component receiver features JVC's acclaimed Hybrid Feedback Digital Amplifier, with a bi-amp design that assigns a separate amplifier to directly power each wood cone woofer and each wood cone tweeter. It can decode both Dolby Digital and DTS Surround, downmixing them for a two-channel output. Then, 3D-Phonic Surround can be engaged to recreate a full home theater surround effect using only the two provided speakers.
