Beware of monitor randomly turning off forever

This was my favorite monitor, I loved it. But it turned off randomly one day, tried different power cables, no physical damages. Nothing. Since it is outside the 1 year warranty, LG has told me that there's nothing they can do. Even though, you would expect a monitor to last more than 2 years. And even though, it's not the user's fault. I am very disappointed, and that monitor will be the last LG product I ever buy. Just beware, if you choose to buy any LG products from now on.

Bad Product Longevity

The monitor has great picture and was good to use while it worked. However, 15 months after purchase the left panel went out, and the monitor is no longer usable. For such an expensive monitor, this lifetime is completely unacceptable. LG's warranty covers 12 months, and they refuse to cover the cost of replacement. The cost to repair the monitor is more expensive than buying a new one.

Excellent Color and Image

I bought two of these in December of 2023. They have worked flawlessly since. I did have them stacked over one another and have recently decided to run one horizontally and one vertically. I have ran these at 180Hz on an RTX4080Ti since installation. Color is excellent. The smoothness scrolling is phenomenal at 100hz or greater, refresh rate. What I like most about the Ultra Wide format is it wide enough and has enough resolution to run windows side by side both having plenty of real estate for each. And if you need more width, you have it available. The 3440x1440 is the standard for Ultra Wide. If you have lower resolution, you really are not getting the benefits you deserve from the monitor. While the plastic bezel is very thin, there is a black line all the way around the monitor. The display does not go to the very edge of the bezel. The width is about 1/4". You can see this in images of the monitor. Therefore when you place the panels close together, the images are not as close together as it may feel.

Not recommended. The monitor out of the box was great, but after a couple of years I have found that it just won't survive. I have to run it at as minimal of settings to keep the horrible fan wine down. Overclock to 160? No way. Use the LED features? Nope. Run audio through the monitor? Risky. Basically have to use every power saving feature available on the monitor or listen to a horrible fan the entire time. Seems like a pretty common issue for others as well.

Monitor was great until it developed a vertical colored line. 3 and a bit years old and only 1 year warranty. Ive had 3 other (non LG) monitors for 15 years and theyve survived moving multiple times without issues. This will be the last LG product i purchase.

I bought 2 of these monitors in 2020 and they were great for 4 years. Only has HDMI 2.0 so you need to go Display Port if you want to truly use it as a gaming monitor. Middle of 2024 I had issues with one of the monitors blowing pixels and having a vertical line. About 3 months later the second monitor started experiencing the same thing. After contacting support, the monitors were out of warranty due to purchase date....

I have two of these monitors. They are meh. The picture quality seems fine for 4k, but I have had problems. - lots of blue light, probably not great foe eye health. - terrible software. seriously really bad.
