I bought this 47LH90 in 2009 and the picture is awesome as when purchased! Quality of the set is superb. However, the menu has begun to pop up on screen randomly and I can't find the resolution. Hate to have to replace her since the picture is still so crystal.

I bought this beast May 2008… she has been an amazing tv! I keep looking and the new screens available… and just can't justify replacing this set! As long as it continues to work she will have her place in my living room!

I am an avid enthusiast of watching sports, reality TV, and movies on my TV. I decided on this TV for the following reasons: 1. Matte Screen - The 2010 model of this TV and the popular Samsung TVs available all come with a glossy screen. I mounted this screen opposite a sliding glass door and wanted to reduce glare as much as possible. There is no glare created by the massive amounts of natural lighting opposite my TV. 2. 240 Hz - As I mentioned I'm an avid sports fanatic, and even though this model was released in 2009, it is still one of the first TVs that were made available with this extremely quick refresh rate. 3. LED Backlit - The black levels of this TV make it appear to be as crisp as a plasma, but without the cost. The only downside to an LED Backlit TV (as opposed to LEDs on the side of the TV) is that it increases the overall profile of the TV from the wall. This TV hangs a few inches off the wall, but overall I'm impressed with the quality. 3. Wide viewing angle - I watch this TV from numerous vantage points in my open floor plan living room/dining room/kitchen. I have been impressed with each viewing angle. 4. Price. The price was certainly right for this high-quality, highly praised TV. I watched the price of this specific TV for over a year and the price never dipped below $1299. This TV is worth every single penny. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone who needs a quick refresh rate, is on a budget, and may need to place the TV in a room with a lot of ambient light. 5 Stars!!!

This TV is really a bargain against all the more expensive edge-lit LED TVs (which any true techno-person knows are less effective as LED TVs anyway). The local dimming and 240hz is absolute amazing, I threw in the blu-ray disc 'Avatar' to test out this TV's capabilities and I was BLOWN away. GO LOCAL DIMMING stay away from that edge-lit garbage!

I am pleasantly surprised to not see any difference. The blacks are very black, and the colors are great! I suppose I will get used to the great picture, but I currently find myself being wowed by this TV.

Blue ray picture is great. I dont care too much for the red light that stays on when the tv is off.
