Pros: My daughter and son-in-law own the same soundbar. Their experience and hearing it in their home sold me on it! Relatively easy to set up. Sounds Great! Sure beats the little speakers built into newer flat screen TVs. Also like to option to put the sub wherever is convenient and not have to deal with more wires. Cons: Only drawback was after pairing to my phone to stream music from it, my phone kept connecting automatically and blocking the signal to the optical cable from the TV. Since I didn't intend to use that feature very often anyway, I simply removed the soundbar from the Blue Tooth device list in my phone. Other thoughts: Very happy with my purchase!

Pros: Very good sound, good bass. Huge upgrade over tv speakers, Bluetooth is a plus overall excellent value for the money. Cons: Speakers have no cover. Not very appealing visually. Can't control sound via TV remote unless you have an LG TV. Other thoughts: I will probably upgrade to something better in the future but for now these do a very good job. When I do upgrade these will accompany the bedroom tv.

I'm not what you would call an audiophile, but I've long noticed the poor quality of sound from the built in speakers on my off-brand television and have wanted better output. When I saw the LG on sale with Buydig, I liked the price, compared it against other sellers, and pulled the trigger. It was a solid deal. Originally I connected the sound bar to the tv with an analog audio connector (basically looks like a headphones jack on both ends) because I didn't realize that 'Optical' and 'SPDIF' connectors are the same things and my tv has SPDIF, not optical. Once I figured that out though I plugged in the included cable and there was a noticeable improvement. (for some reason Buydig shipped an HDMI cable along with the sound bar which was somewhat confusing as this bar does not connect via HDMI at all. I guess it was just a sales promo but it left me scratching my head). The subwoofer connected itself so that was easy. Stereo sound through the TV is everything I had hoped for. Movies have a theatrical cinematic sound experience now. Bluetooth connections are good, but don't seem to split the audio into separate channels so it's a bit flatter sounding when connected that way. I think that's a bluetooth thing though and not something that LG got wrong, and it's still miles better than what I had. The subwoofer volume is controlled separately from the bar so you can thump it up if you want or tone it back without losing the higher frequencies. I'm happy.
