This unit is very easy to set up and use. It is very user friendly and works great. The noise it produces is no more than the fans I used to use to try and keep cool at night. I definitely recommend this product to others.

Have had ac for about 2 months, put it in work shop as it gets hot in there. Works great, keeps me comfortable when in 80s and 90s. Only problem is directions for installing window vent not to user friendly, had to do some finagling to get it in ( vent in window ). Other then that would have given it 5 stars.

This is the second LG a/c I've purchased in as many years and this one works just as awesome as the 1st. The remote makes it super ez to proram fron anywhere in the room. We put it in my 13 year old's bedroom (which is on the west side of the house) and it does a fine job keeping it cool. She is happy so I am happy.

I bought this one month ago as my FL apartment faces east/west so it's always hot. The apartment has one built in a/c and I didn't want it running 24/7. I'm having surgery end of next month and wanted a remote controlled unit that will cool my bedroom. It would be 5 stars except for two reasons - it is a bit loud, but that's ok. The other issue is once the a/c hits the temp you want, it switches to fan and the fan stays on. If there was an option for the fan to shut off when it's reached the set cooking temp, it would be excellent.

As with all window type AC units installing in a crank out casement window is tough. I removed a pane of glass and made one from lean and made a hole for the exhaust and screwed the adapter to the lexan. The unit cools the room about 10 x 12 . But we haven't got to the hottest part of the year yet. It will be better than what I've had which was a big fan

I RENT A SMALL USED TO BE OFFICE TURNED INTO BEDROOM IN AN OLD HOUSE. NO WINDOWS AND ONLY A DOOR TO THE BACK YARD. 12X12 SIZE WHERE I LIVE 8 MONTHS OF HOT. 100+ DAYS. THERE IS A VENT FOR COOLER AIR TO EXHAUST TO THE ATTIC SO AFTER READING UP ON PORTABLE A/C'S THIS UNIT SOUNDED GREAT. INSTALL WAS EASY. ADDED 6" EXPANDABLE TUBING TO A SELF MADE ADAPTER TO MY ROOM VENT . UNIT IS IN CORNER OF ROOM. UNIT NICELY PACKAGED. REMOVE STRAPS AND BOX SLIDES OFF LIFT OFF BOX BASE ONTO FLOOR. GOOD WHEELS TO ROLL AROUND WHICH IS GOOD CAUSE ITS HEAVY. READ THE MANUAL. SET IT UP (EASY). PLUG IN AND GO. I HAVE NEVER OWNED AND SMALL A/C WHERE THE THERMOSTAT IS ACCURATE. SAME WITH THIS ONE. IF YOU WANT LETS SAY 72 DEG SET IT TO 68 0R 69. SENSE THIS IS A PORTABLE UNIT IT TAKES SOME AIR IN THE ROOM TO COOL THE CONDENSER. THE THE HOT AIR GOES OUT SIDE THROUGH THE TUBING. SO AIR IS ALWAYS BEING DRAWN INTO THE ROOM WHEN COOLING. SO THE ROOM MUST BE VENTED.A LITTLE.(AIR DRAWN UNDER MY TWO DOORS). THIS MODEL THE OUTPUT FAN RUNS ALL THE TIME. THE COMPRESSOR CYCLES AS DOES THE EXHAUST FAN. OK FIRST A LITTLE NIT PICKING. THE REMOTE IS SIMPLE AND WORKS GREAT, BUT THE LETTERING UNDER EACH BUTTON IS NOT ONLY REALLY SMALL BUT IS THE SAME COLOR AS THE REMOTE FACE. I'M 55 AND MY EYES NEED HELP. PUT SOME CONTRASTING LETTERS ON IT(WHITE !) THE COLD AIR COMES OUT THROUGH 2 VENTS ON TOP. THEY OPEN AND CLOSE WHEN YOU TURN THE THING ON OR OFF. NEAT AS THIS KEEPS STUFF OUT. HOWEVER THE AIR OUTPUT IS NOT EVEN. SOME LEFT SIDE, MORE CENTER, A LOT TO THE RIGHT. NO PROBLEM FOR ME BUT COULD BE FOR OTHERS DEPENDING ON PLACEMENT. THE UNIT COMES WITH A RESERVOIR THAT YOU HAVE TO DRAIN OFF THE CONDENSATION. I LIVE IN A LOW HUMIDITY AREA, SO MOST GETS EVAPORATED INTO THE HOT EXHAUST OUTPUT. THE MANUAL SHOWES DRAIN TUBING THAT YOU CAN GET (ACCESSORY ?) TO MAKE THIS EASY I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE THIS INCLUDED WITH THE UNIT. I WOULD HAVE PAID 5$ MORE TO HAVE THEM. SO, HOW DOES IT WORK? VERY GOOD. REAL HAPPY. ITS 90+ AND IM WRITING THIS IN A 70 DEG. ROOM (BIG SMILE). ON LOW SPEED ITS NOT TOO NOISY. THE SLEEP MODE TURNS THE NICE BRIGHT LEDS OFF. ON HIGH ITS A BIT LOAD, BUT THIS HELPS GET THE ROOM COOLED. FIT AND FINISH IS TOP NOTCH. NICE SHINY WHITE. HAS BUILT IN HANDLES AND REMOVABLE FILTER THAT YOU CAN CLEAN. I MEASURED THE AIR COMING OUT AND ITS 50 DEG. WOW. LG IS A BRAND THAT I LIKE. THIS UNIT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT FOR A 8000 BTU.

Purchased this product a little under a month ago, and it has changed our lives, really. Our bedroom was always the warmest in the house, and now we can sleep cool and comfortable.
