Well my son gave this to me so I'm not sure how long he used it 1st . But I have used it in my bedroom w/a master bathroom n works great. Can be a lil loud n down out my tv n I'm deaf in 1 ear so use my Bluetooth by me. I love the Humidity remover setting...omg the amount of water that comes out is ...Wow.!! So far so good but unfortunately wen I took the covers off to clean inside( mobile home sucks Bad) noticed that the top tray outlet hole must have gotten clogged r something, the whole 1/2 in of unit is totally rusted n almost has holes. I'm glad I looked ...but ateast the inside of the front cover only a lil ..dusty. Cool!! Wen I went 2 clean it after we used it like ..month after son gave me n said He Cleaned it...IDTS...black Mold all inside of it. But it's all inside of mobile home walls ..E Where. It's a Great thing to have.ooh I been using it for...3 yrs. Debating if I should ...try again. But it's the only AC I have..Period. I was hoping to find the schematic for it so I could remove the moter n Totally Clean that out. It's Filthy...lol...unfortunately. yeah mobile home is .....(rotting garbage ,health hazerd) Sorry that it was discontinued. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ˜ŽโœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿ˜Š ohh..lol..we didn't get remote son lost it...lol. but the buttons on top of unit, hey ee figured it out...lol easy to use. Just 1 drawback, no hose for bottom drain. It's like ..1/4 in. From floor but we put it up on a crate to drain into a ...big bucket. No problem. But I never saw a .."water full" notification. But it's used from my son sooo. TY n sorry mine looks ..so bad but cleaning it n ...u know...lol...lol...

The one that caught fire

I trust LG products, my A/C caught fire inside, as a fireman I unplugged it and ran it outside, about 3-4 weeks later, I wanted to see what happened to it, I tore it apart, wires were burned and black soot above indicating a fire, called company and reported it, I thought that they may replace it knowing it didn't burn my house down or it didn't hurt my family, I haven't heard back yet. But I trust that they will do the right thing.

Im not sure what you are expecting

I have two of these units as part of several brands that we own due to losing our house AC in the middle of August in Florida several years back. All of the units were instrumental in keeping us cool. They again saved us during hurricane IRMA. Are they perfect? Heck no!! Do they work as expected? Heck yes!!! Are they loud? Yup!!! It is perfect white noise. People who are writing negative reviews have expectations that a portable AC unit would never meet. Some of the negative reviews also reflect folks who don't understand how AC works or that this type of unit has to be sized to the space it is going to be used in no different than a whole house AC unit. Portable AC units are a temporary fix for what should be a temporary problem. Depending where you live and the then current humidity level will determine how much water is being expelled by exhaust and how much needs to be draining into a container (just like a whole house AC unit) . I am in Florida and again without AC in the middle of August. Why - because the level of pride and ownership is extremely hard to find in this country anymore. Now back to the product. We empty water that is draining into pans from the two LG units every 8 hours. We also dump water from every other portable AC unit in the house. I would estimate about 3 - 6 gallons a day. THIS IS EXPECTED!!!! THIS IS HOW AC WORKS!!!! It removes the humidity (WATER). If it didn't you would potentially grow mold along with all kinds of other issues and NEVER BE COMFORTABLE. We currently have 5 portable AC units, 6 fans and 2 dehumidiifers running to keep a 2300 sq. ft. one stry home tolerable while I wait for someone who cares about fixing my whole house unit. Is it perfect - not even close. What other options do we have??? Then add in COVID19 which is causing a major global supply chain disruption and we have a recipe for disaster. I have several products from LG, have always been happy with them. They have been reliable and functional. This is my 2 cents (that I will be contributing to help with the coin shortage)

Does not last

As I saw in other people's feedback, this unit does not last. I've had it for just under two years. Even when new I had to duct tape the hose to the unit and the hose to the window piece. This week I started getting the FL message. I drained the tank twice in one day and then, right now (at 3am in NYC during a heatwave) the unit just completely died. Have tried to reset it and it is completely dead.

Even when I was using this as a new product the thing falls out of the window the tube falls out of the holder in the two balls out of the back of the machine so basically I've got everything duct tape together to hold it in which is ridiculous Yep parts should be more better quality than you're giving out bad bad LG

Fills with water EVERY night!

We've had the LG TPW080CR19 portable unit for one year and it has started filling up with water EVERY NIGHT! It will not even run a full night, without turning off at about 3:00 am saying FL...and it is full of water. Granted, we live in the south, and it's humid right now, but not making one full night of cooling (we don't run it during the day) seems ridiculous. We have seet it up for continous draining to see if that will help, but the manual says not to run it under continous draining in cool mode. We'll see what happens. Getting really to kick this one to the curb and buy a window unit.
