I've only had this system about a month, but very pleased with the quality and sound quality. It's a rich, warm sound (after some initial fine-tuning). Bass sounds are adequate.

Nice speaker but appears seriously restricted from a 5GHz Wi-Fi point of view. It appears to only support channels 36, 40, 44 and 48 in 802.11a/n and complete ignores the rest of the channels. So if you are having your heart broken trying to join this speaker to you 5GHz WLAN, if your WLAN is on a channel other than those above this might be the reason.

I have three of these speakers and a really amused neighbor. Since it's impossible to turn Bluetooth off (even when the speakers are on being used on wired mode) or to add some sort of password every once in a while that funny neighbor of mine decides do connect to my speakers and play some of his music. Sometimes around 3 a.m. I really don't understand who could have thought that allowing bluetooth connecting to have priority over wired / wi-fi ones was a good idea. Specially when you don't even need a password to connect. If you don't like to know what's on your neighborhood playlists don't buy one of these.

Just want to know when LG is going to push through the update that google made available back in June to make these speakers capable of being grouped with chromecast audio devices in googlcast.? Sony updated their speakers in September and are able to be added to groups on googlecast with chromecast audio devices.

I bought two NP8340 wireless speakers for my new LG SH7B sound bar. The product installed easily and sounds great. The only problem I encountered was the way the Music Flow App connects to the speakers for surround sound. I used trial and error to figure out my issues. Better App instructions would be nice. Additionally, I get a minor drop outs due to WIFI connectivity. There were several comments on line regarding connecting these speakers to a speaker stand. I found a pair of Atlantic stands that work perfect for my application. I recommend the addition of attachment threads on the back of each speaker to allow easy connection to a stand. Overall, very satisfied with the product, quality of the sound, and ease of use.

Worked relatively fine until firmware NS7.809.60419.C which has really screwed it up. Stuttering playback after a random period of time. Can no longer be used reliably.
