Devices causes SOQY soundbar to turn back on after TV & sound bar are turned
Official Response by LG - BV
Hey there! We would like to confirm with you that you are saying the LG WOWCAST WTP3 is switching the LG soundbar model S90QY and TV on and off. If this is the case, there may be interruptions between the two devices. We would like to see what we can do to resolve this together. Please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport with your contact information, model, and serial number. We will be happy to look further into this and get your home theater functioning at 100%! ~ Jupe

This WowCast module does not stay wirelessly connected to the SC9S soundbar while attempting to use it with the LG C3 TV. The white light just keeps on blinking. It's much better to connect your soundbar with an HDMI cable connected to the HDMI/ARC ports on the TV and soundbar. You can not connect your cable box to the soundbar no matter what mode your C3 TV is set to, and the WowCast didn't help because it can not be connected to the soundbar. LG has spent hours on the phone along with days of instruction via text and this WowCast is an abysmal failure. Save your money and nothing, but headaches!
We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are gutted when we don’t meet expectations. Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We will use the feedback to make us better and to ensure this doesn’t happen again. ~Tanisha

Since I've got it it's had connection issues and won't connect until I factory reset. Mind you I have new lg tv and new lg speakers. I've even reached out to lg and they always just disconnect me and don't want to help. Don't recommend this product and decided to just connect directly to hdmi. I have had it for 2 months and can't return it. Lg doesn't seem to want to help either as I have tried to get help and they disconnect me multiple times.

Seconds to setup. Plug it in, let it rip. It really is as simple as that. It doesn't support all 9.1.5 channels with LG's highest end system (the S95QR), ut still sounds incredible.

Unable to overcome sound latency (sound lags behind video - not the other way around which can be corrected in TV settings) problems. Spent 115 minutes online with LG but no luck. I did see a note on my soundbar instructions that "Depending on TV, time taken for sound output may differ." - but I've got LG-OLED65C1PUB TV sending to my LG S80QY soundbar - both of which list as compatible. I asked for a refund but was given another number to call. Not sure if it's worth my time. Live and learn I guess.

Bought the WOWCAST after a dialogue with LG Tech Support. Connects really well to the LG SOUNDBAR and delivers multi channel surround sound wirelessly instead of the standard Bluetooth stereo

The LG WOWCAST works as described and produces quality wireless audio between soundbar system and TV. I recently purchased the 65 OLED G2 TV and paired it with the S95QR Soundbar system. I wanted to minimize cables so I purchased the WOWCAST. The device mounts flush behinds the tv and does not get in the way with wall flush designed TV's (galleria editions, frames). I'm am very satisfied with the transfer of audio quality and I highly recommend this product.

[LG WOWCAST] So here is a way to wirelessly connect the TV to your LG sound bar without the loose of Dolby Atmos functionality. I was worried I would lose somthing when I ditched the wires, but my experience with full Dolby Atmos was still great. I did not notice any additional distortion or sound issues. So it says that it can "Stream up to 12 channels of uncompressed sound", I am unsure of how to verify that, but it does sound great! WTP3 WOWCAST (ok crazy name) allows for a no cable connection from the sound bar to the TV (cool).

The LG wowcast is a must have device for use with any LG sound bar systems. It's a small device that you just attach to the back thectv of the tv that allows a wireless connection to your sound bar. It causes no loss in sound and allows a more convenient method of having an lg surround system without additional wiring.
