Pros: Ventilates the apartment well and quickly. Cons: Fan is loud at the high setting. Okay at medium and low settings. Other thoughts: Too bad the 12' electrically reversible fans are no longer made.

Pros: Quieter than a 22' window fan I purchased from another source. Performs well considering my situation. Cons: None Other thoughts: This fan was purchased to replace a 22' window fan - which is larger than the window opening. I have installed Lasko's 16' Window Fan in a window facing East to exhaust hot air in a single-wide rental mobile home without central air conditioning. Additional tower fans are required in conjunction with Lasko's 16' Window Fan to exhaust hot air in 1,000+ sq. ft. single-wide trailer. My electric bill is the determining factor to use fans instead of A/C window units.

Pros: Great speed settings, Lightweight Cons: Other thoughts: I've had it for over a year in my living room. At the 2 faster speeds it's pretty quiet, but from day 1 it's noisy at the lowest speed (which is surprising - you'd think it would be noisy at the faster speeds!). It's a little difficult to set up unless you have a helper. It's not heavy but an extra set of hands is strongly recommended. Delivery was amazingly fast - I got it the day after I ordered it.

Pros: Compact, Easy to install, Lightweight Cons: Noisy, Flimsy, Not Very Powerful Other thoughts: Product seems to be effective for my outdoor shop. The product itself appears a bit 'cheap' for the cost. It is a bit noisy and flimsy. I 'modified' the casing to fit my existing 24' window but it appears to be operating adequately so far. The speed select knob is awful tight to turn and I thought at first it would break. So far it is doing an adequate job.

Pros: Cons: Other thoughts: Works well. You can open and close the window with the fan installed. Only one of its kind on the market that I could find. Be aware that you have to screw it in to the window frame. It is not hard to install.
