The MBUS Gen 2 Front Sight (MAG247) features a spring-loaded flip-up mechanism that deploys instantly when activated from either side — press the ambidextrous release paddles or push the top, and the sight snaps upright with positive detent engagement that keeps it locked in the deployed position. The spring-locking A2-style front sight post is adjustable for elevation using the included sight adjustment tool or any standard A2 sight tool, providing the same height-over-bore as standard military A2 iron sights. Protective wings on both sides shield the front post from impact damage during hard use, drops, and rough handling. When stowed, the front sight folds to a profile of approximately 0.51 inches above the rail and 2.6 inches in length — low enough to sit beneath most optics without interference.
