Nikon Z6 III Mirrorless Camera with 24-120mm f/4 S Lens Kit
Product Description:
The Nikon Z6 III with NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S is a flagship-level full-frame mirrorless camera kit that redefines what a mid-range body can do. Featuring the world's first partially-stacked CMOS sensor — integrating high-speed data processing circuits directly onto the sensor for 3.5× faster readout than the Z6 II — the Z6 III delivers capabilities that were exclusive to Nikon's $5,000+ flagships just a generation ago, including 6K/60p internal RAW video, 120 fps burst shooting with Pre-Release Capture, and the brightest electronic viewfinder ever put in a mirrorless camera. Paired with the premium S-Line 24-120mm f/4 S zoom, this kit covers wide-angle to telephoto in a single versatile, constant-aperture optic — making it the ultimate all-in-one system for hybrid creators, travel photographers, and aspiring professionals.
The partially-stacked sensor design is the engine behind everything the Z6 III does differently. By embedding high-speed data processing circuits within the sensor itself, Nikon achieves dramatically faster scan speeds that reduce rolling shutter distortion, enable higher continuous shooting frame rates, maintain a smooth 60 fps EVF refresh even during 20 fps burst shooting, and power faster autofocus calculations. Combined with the EXPEED 7 image processor — the same chip found in the Z8 and Z9 flagships — the Z6 III delivers processing speeds approximately 10× faster than the Z6 II.
The 493-point phase-detection autofocus system inherited from the Z9 covers the full sensor area and supports AI-powered deep learning subject detection for nine distinct subject types: people, birds, dogs, cats, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trains, and airplanes. 3D Tracking locks onto fast, erratically moving subjects that change direction unpredictably. Starlight Mode permits autofocus down to -10 EV for astrophotography, concerts, and near-total darkness. The innovative Backlit AF function uses dedicated pixels on the sensor to intentionally overexpose for focusing accuracy without affecting the captured image exposure.
Continuous shooting hits 20 fps in RAW (electronic shutter), 60 fps in full-frame JPEG, and an extraordinary 120 fps in DX-crop JPEG — all with full AF/AE tracking. Pre-Release Capture begins buffering frames the moment you half-press the shutter, recording up to one second of images before you fully press — ensuring you never miss the decisive moment. The buffer capacity exceeds 1,000 images in a burst, meaning you can fire for approximately 50 seconds continuously. Pixel Shift Shooting produces ultra-high-resolution images up to 96 megapixels.
For video, the Z6 III approaches Z9-level capabilities: 6K/60p internal N-RAW with impressively small file sizes and MP4 proxy creation, 6K/30p ProRes RAW HQ, 5.4K/30p ProRes 422 HQ, oversampled full-frame 4K/60p from 6K, 4K/120p, and Full HD/240p for 10× slow motion — all in 10-bit with up to 4:2:2 sampling. Hi-Res Zoom delivers up to 2× digital zoom during HD recording with no quality loss. Full-size HDMI 2.1 output supports clean 10-bit 4:2:2 with N-Log and HDR (HLG), and the camera doubles as a UVC/UAC webcam via USB-C for direct streaming.
The electronic viewfinder is a class-leading 5.76-million-dot panel with 4,000 nits peak brightness — the brightest in any mirrorless camera — and the world's first DCI-P3 color gamut in a mirrorless EVF, delivering a clear, vibrant, accurate preview even in direct sunlight. The 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen provides 2.1-million-dot resolution for intuitive framing and review. Up to 8 stops of 5-axis in-body image stabilization with Focus Point VR prioritizes stabilization at your selected focus area rather than the center of the frame.
The included NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S is a premium S-Line zoom with constant f/4 aperture, covering 24mm wide-angle through 120mm telephoto — a versatile 5× zoom range that handles landscapes, portraits, events, street, and travel in a single weather-sealed optic weighing approximately 22.2 oz. Dual synchronized AF drive units provide fast, accurate, and virtually silent autofocus with minimal focus breathing — ideal for both stills and video. The lens features a 77mm filter thread, Nano Crystal and ARNEO coatings for superior flare resistance, and a minimum focus distance of 0.35m.
Dual memory card slots (1× CFexpress Type B/XQD + 1× SD UHS-II) offer flexibility for backup, overflow, and format separation. The weather-sealed magnesium alloy body matches Z8-level robustness and operates down to -10°C/14°F. Built-in Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth, USB-C 3.2 Gen2, and Nikon Imaging Cloud connectivity enable wireless transfers, cloud storage, remote firmware updates, and downloadable Cloud Picture Control color presets directly to the camera. Flexible Color Picture Control with HSL and color grading lets you craft custom color profiles in-camera or via NX Studio. Firmware 2.0 adds Auto-Capture functionality and C2PA image authentication.
