Purchased the Duo, sock was great but have had issues with the camera since day one. Slow connection, lag, no connection at all. Camera is less than10m from the home wifi modem. Would not recommend. Makes a clicking noise in the babies room when someone is viewing/attempting to view the app.

We got the owlet sock and camera for peace of mind with our first baby. It honestly really did give us better sleep knowing that our baby's vitals are being monitored and stopped me from getting up and checking up on him constantly. Our boy is now 6 months and has had a bad string of colds and its so great at night to have the peace of mind from the sock readings while I listen to his blocked nose and restricted breathing. Owlet has given us absolutely amazing help whenever we have had questions about the product. One of the best customer service I have ever received. Prompt and timely reponses. Its a pricey item but well worth it as they continue to support you well and truly after your purchase. Its definitely not a case of 'now they have your money, we don't speak or respond to you.' We considered buying a second hand sock but we are so glad that we did not as we have just had amazing support from the Owlet team. Thanks guys! From very happy and thankful parents.

I didn't sleep for 4 nights after my daughter was born and since we've had the sock I've slept so well. I'm not waking every half hour to check she's still breathing. Great for peace of mind!

We were gifted this when our baby arrived. We didn't use the sock much as both husband and I found the notification very annoying. We mostly got the "couldn't read because of missed placement". This notification go off when my baby kicking, and then the device works again when he stop kicking (every sing time he kick!). It's extremely annoying when you already are sleep deprived, trying to change a crying baby at 3am in the morning and have to turn around to turn off the notification. Besides, how does it supposed to measure the heart rate and oxygen level when baby kick all the time? I'm writing this review after another series of "sock is missed placement" notification. We have just started to use it again to monitor our son sleep as I'm sleep training him. Once his sleep pattern is better, I'll stop using it. I don't write review and don't like to write one but this frustrates me so much I have to write one knowing it won't have any impacts on the product

If you want an accurate review of these products, look at your app store! The camera and sock are really high quality, but completely let down by the useless app. I have the Android version and my partner has the iPhone version, and BOTH frequently have issues loading the camera. Forget trying to view the camera feed in full screen on Android too as it only works about 5% of the time. The sock seems to be much more reliable, but only if the sock is within ~8-10m of the base station, otherwise it disconnects and plays a god awful tune. Lastly, be sure you're someone who can pick up new habits frequently; we use the sock about 50% of the time because we forget to put it on before going through the sleep routine, so if you're like us, it's probably not worth it.

We bought the Owlet sock + camera after my almost 3 year old had a prolonged, nonconvulsive seizure. She had another seizure a couple weeks ago, this time face down in her pillow. The owlet base woke us up because her oxygen levels dropped too low (obviously). Because she has nocturnal epilepsy, this device is the only reason my husband and I sleep at night at all.

I bought this during my 3rd trimester with my 3rd baby. I wish so bad it was available sooner for my other two older children. My post-partum anxiety was so bad with their sleep. Having the Owlet Smart Sock 3 has helped me not experience the same anxiety. Being able to glance at the readings on my phone, rather than disturb the baby is giving me the greatest peace of mind. There is never a substitute for safe sleep. My wife and I purchased the Duo before our daughter was born as we wanted more than just an audio monitor for our first child. This system is everything that we needed for piece of mind at night. The camera is great as it picks up her movement and noise all while tracking the temperature in the room so that we know we are keeping her in a safe environment. The SmartSock though is the biggest life saver. Reading all the horror stories that parents experience with their children and SIDS we knew we wanted something that went above and beyond and this sock does it. At all times it lets us know her heartbeat and oxygen level and will beep at us if its not able to pick up the signal. With the app I can monitor all this while at work.
