Dubbing my VCR collection to DVD is a breeze with these units. It's also great for recording classic movies that are unavailable to DVD. The Panasonic unit is heads above all the competition. A great picture and up scaling of your recorded DVDs to your TV is a nice feature. There's not a DVD disc format that you can't use in this recorder, it does them all.
