The SC-LX501 is compatible with 5.1.2ch/5.2.2ch configurations for the latest home theater sound format, Dolby Atmos. You can reproduce object-oriented sound in realistic, three-dimensional movement overhead by the top speakers.
Dolby Atmos Room Requirements:
Using the Pioneer Elite Dolby Atmos Enabled Speakers you will need the following in order to use the Dolby Atmos-enabled capability of these speakers, the listening room ceiling should have horizontal flat hard surface (for audio reflection) and a height of 8' to 14'.
Dolby Atmos Equipment Requirements:
In addition to a Dolby Atmos compatible speaker set up, you must have a Dolby Atmos compatible receiver/processor and Dolby Atmos encoded content.

MCACC Auto Room Tuning
Create the ideal acoustic environment with Pioneer's MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System), developed through years of working closely with an award-winning recording studio. With the custom microphone, the system automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level and distance, and equalizes response.
Synchronized Sound with Phase Control
As an innovative solution for the phase lag between the subwoofer and the main channel speakers caused by the network filter, Phase Control compensates the delayed bass to improve sound synchronization.

The SC-LX501 will support FireConnect Powered by Blackfire* with a future firmware update. FireConnect is a stable wireless protocol that mirrors most audio sources connected to the AV receiver-from vinyl to streaming audio-on optional FireConnect compatible speakers** in other rooms.
* Multi-room Audio is realized by FireConnect technology. FireConnect is a technology of Blackfire Research Corp, USA. We do not guarantee that the SC-LX901 will support all devices incorporating FireConnect.
