The immersive 3D surround sound of Dolby Atmos® or DTS:X can be yours, or you can enjoy similar all encompassing effects by Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer and DTS Virtual:X, even without height or surround speakers. Featuring Ultra HD, HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision™ pass through with support for HDCP 2.2., the VSX-935 also offers life-like images to match the sound. And speaking of sound, you can stream music from various sources via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, DTS Play-Fi, your SONOS system, and Apple AirPlay 2. If that isn’t enough the VSX-935 includes a powered zone 2 feature with a dedicated digital audio converter (DAC) for dual listening spaces, personal presets and 2 HDMI* outputs.

All Encompassing Sound
Reproduce object-oriented sound with DTS:X and the smooth, curving or realistic, three-dimensional, overhead movements of Dolby Atmos. And if you don’t have surrounds or height speakers, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer and DTS:X Virtual will create virtual height effects from traditional speaker layouts to simulate up firing speakers.

Auto Room Tuning
Pioneer’s MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System) adjusts audio according to the listening room and speakers, and creates clearer sound by suppressing the standing waves that occur between walls or ceiling and floor. Measurement of up to nine positions can be saved for a wide listening area. Auto Phase Control Plus makes real-time analysis of the phase difference, and automatically compensates the gap between the LFE and main signals, providing strong bass and clear high-frequency sound.

HDMI® 2.1 with 8K
The most recent update of the HDMI spec, HDMI 2.1 supports a range of higher video resolutions and refresh rates including 8K60 and 4K120, as well as Dynamic HDR formats. 8K delivers a super-immersive viewing experience with 2x the horizontal and vertical resolution of 4K, and 4 times as many pixels. Combined with 60Hz refresh rate enables smooth and sharp viewing of content with high-speed action, HDMI 2.1 with 8K ensures your system is ready for the clearest and cleanest picture available both now and down the road.

Bi-directional Bluetooth
The VSX-935 can send and receive audio via Bluetooth wireless technology. This capability means your gaming headphones will easily connect to audio from the AVR (using SBC, aptX™?, or aptX HD codecs including 24-bit audio over aptX HD).

And you can stream from devices, like a cell phone, to the AVR (using SBC or AAC codecs) if you want to keep listening to your podcast or the new releases from your favorite artists on the home theater system.
