Was it really good TV for 5 years then developed two large vertical Shadows and white spots along the bottom of the screen. I would think with the reputation of Samsung you would think it would have lasted more than 5 years. Probably will cost me more to have it fixed so I may switch to a different brand.

Bought this in 2019. After 5 years it developed two large vertical Shadows and white spots along the bottom of the screen. I would think with the reputation of Samsung the sent one of the lasted more than 5 years. Probably cost too much to repair. Will likely by a different brand.

I bought the tv last year and from day one it appeared to have light bleeding when there subtitles are displayed. Such a serious defect in numerous models (checked on many forums) is unacceptable especially in that price. STAY AWAY ! It's a waste of money.

Samsung has gone down hill big time. Just after 1 year dark area appeared covering 8 inches from left to right and from top to bottom. Contacted Samsung and they said that the part was no longer available. The TV is only 14 months old. Told me to have a nice day after telling me they were sorry for the inconvenience. A TOTAL loss financially. Household of just 2 people with several TV's. The usage on this TV was extremely low. Never again will we purchase any Samsung product.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

As one article describes it, "...OLED, which stands for “organic light emitting diodes” replaced the need for backlights - which are the lights that shine behind the LCD screen to illuminate them. With OLED, the LED bulbs emit light that creates the picture. On the other hand, QLED stands for “Quantum Dot LED,” and can be compared to an LCD TV because it uses a backlight.
