I was on a mini vacation when I dropped my original phone, the physical buttons speed working and I couldn't power it on without that; I had just paid it off in full. Had to buy a new one to lookup reservations for the variation. Walked into Verizon and literally asked for the cheapest phone; this was it be its living up to the demand. The screen slips while sliding fingers across (scrolling, clearing notifications, swipe texting). The memory is not 'expandable'. Consider it as additional memory. You cannot format the memory card as internal memory, that means that you only have < 16gb to store those apps that don't allow transfer to card. Sure, you can set the galley to save to the card, but you are limited in the number/size of the apps you can install. It cannot be the full memory that causes the lag because this phone started having issues right out of the box. The cameras on both sides are carp (I'm not allowed to post if I flip the A and the R?). I'm sure the high end Samsung models are good, but after being stuck with these issues from a spanking new phone, I'll steer clear of all Samsung.

I have a lot of problems with this phone. A lot of static. When answering phone calls receive high screech before hearing other party. Too many steps to get to some items on phone. Had an S4 and loved it. Hate this phone.

My Samsung j7 doesn't have the feature where on the lock screen, you can swipe to view the song that's playing and your next alarm. It also has 11.5 Gigabytes of storage when it said that it was supposed to have 16 Gigabytes. I only have a couple apps installed and it is full already! I have a Micro SD chip in it (I use it to store all my music, images, etc), but even with that inside it, it gets full. My old phone, a Samsung j3, had the lock screen swipe, and it could store a large number of apps.

I have been using cellphones for more than twenty years and this is the best cellphones I have ever owned and I just love Samsung's phones and I have owned three. Keep improving.

Just needed a cell phone for email and text, browsing the web and making long distance calls. Have had it about a month and finally get used to it. I'm 74 and work on computers but this was a learning curve for me.

This phone was slow, even from the start. It just froze up and stopped working. Everytime i got it to work, the screen would time out. I finally got it to work again. Don't waste your money on this phone.

This phone is fantastic for the price point. While not one of the Flagship devices, it certainly can compare, even beat out most 2nd tier phones. Also, they hold up really well and I can see myself selling it down the road for close to "new" prices for an upgrade. If you're considering this as your cheaper alternative, take it.
