Pros: Had a beautiful picture when it worked. Cons: This television is made with very poor components. It started melting inside with little usage. The warranty was not honored. I have not broken any guidelines. Please post my review.

I have owned a number of TVs- from every decade from the 1950s on. I purchased this TV used, but it is in excellent condition and has a great picture. SUHD or more modernly QLED has one of the best pictures out there. Apps run a little slow and glitchy, but its dealable.

BUYER BEWARE: According to the research I have done the problems I have had with this television are common and only after 18 months - 3 years! Every television I have ever owned has lasted for 10+ years - Sony, JVC, Magnavox, Toshiba - but not this Samsung! We bought this television in July 2015. Now it has white bleed on the right and left side of the screen. I called Tech Support and was told it was out of warranty and the closest repair tech - that I would have to pay for - is an hour away from my house WITHOUT dealing with Miami's famous traffic (really, you have no techs IN MIAMI?!!!!) What is sad is that I have loved this television. The picture was fantastic, the features excellent and the idea that I could upgrade the television by replacing the brains but keeping the screen was VERY appealing. I'm VERY disappointed. The only thing that makes me happy is that we were going to buy another Samsung television for another room. Now we know better.

I bought this TV on May 2016 since then i enjoyed thoroughly and so much impressed with the display quality is SAMSUNG but unfortunately those happy moments turned into nightmare with the display issues as soon as i am out of warranty and Samsung is so poor at customer service after the manufacturer warranty is expired. In my case spending so much money on this TV now i will have to spend hundreds of dollars to fix the issue. I have contacted samsung support so many times but no luck. Verdict: I would not recommend SAMSUNG TVs anymore with my experience, hopefully Samsung will address this issue for coming models in future.

Purchased the Samsung un48js8500 three years ago and until recently have been very happy with the picture quality and set operation. Some of the apps never get updated by that's why you have Roku. But a month ago I noticed light discoloration on the left and right edges of screen. Both Best Buy and Samsung support say I need a new screen. This is disappointing. I can live with it but that is not why you by an expensive TV.

We bought this Samsung JS8500 4K SUHD Smart TV TV in October 2015. We were very happy with the picture and features, but it suddenly, while viewing, stopped working completely. The fuse and power board are apparently fine, but it simply stopped working. I would not recommend this TV for reliability or quality control We paid a high premium for a high end Samsung, and certainly expected it to last more than 2 and a half years. This was a very disappointing purchase.

I really loved this TV, until 2/3 of the screen turned darker than the rest, making watching it intolerable. I called customer support and they confirmed that it would need to be repaired and is no longer under warranty. I did research on the internet and this is apparently a common issue with Samsung televisions that costs more to fix than what the TV is currently worth. What a waste of money.

This is my second Samsung TV and will be my last. I already left them for my cell phone needs for an overrated product, this is going to follow suit. The interface is clunky and errors out constantly, many apps don't work with consistency, and lines appeared on the screen within 6 months. This TV is a huge waste of money. There are products out there with better interfaces that are much higher quality. Samsung is a brand resting on it's laurels.

Had this TV for 2 years now. Purchased it in August 2015. This is the best TV I ever had. Picture quality is amazing. Sound is good. What bothers me a lot is poor software. It is pain to connect to Youtube either directly or thru pairing devices. Won't do it. I had to spend 10 minutes fixing it each time I want to watch youtube videos. If not that major glitch, I'd give it 5/5 for everything else.

You could say the 'S' stands for "Super Premium." Or "Sumptuous." Or whatever you want, because Samsung hasn't actually issued an official explanation of what it stands for.
