I got this backpack to replace one I had for over 10 years that I thought was great. When I used the Swiss Gear Ibex Backpack for the first time it felt like I just came out of the stone age. Since I use this every day for work and have to walk quite a ways from the parking lot in all types of weather the comfort and durability really mean alot. It Just doesn't get any Better!

Can be filled like a small suitcase / briefcase combo. MANY various size pockets and zippered compartments both interior and exterior for organization. Standouts are: Pocket for cd/mp3 player and grommet hole pass through for headphones. Clip hook in one pocket to retain keys. Vented pockets for bottled water on exterior. Generous space for writing implements, cd/dvds, clothes, notepads/binders, and more. Various strap and plastic clip loops on bag exterior and chest straps useful for adding carabiners to attach more items on outside for easy access. Very weather resistant but I wouldn't leave it out in the rain for an extended period of time. It is not completely sealed, but it should protect quite adequately for normal walking through weather around town. It is not a military, camping, or 'hiking in a downpour' grade bag but it is the next best thing. A very well reinforced, steel cable running through the main carry handle gives an idea of carry capacity. -Probably more than you're going to want to drag around. Makes a good one-bag airline carry-on if you can keep it under the size regulations with all the junk you can stuff into it.
