Google Nest Learning Thermostat
Your thermostat controls your cooling and heat, which in turn costs about half your energy bill; so shouldn’t your thermostat also help you save energy? If you’re looking for a new and improved thermostat, then meet the Google Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Generation, Copper). This thermostat is able to program itself, and it helps you save energy. Plus, with the Nest smartphone app, you’ll be able to adjust the thermostat from just about anywhere.
The Nest Learning Thermostat is one of the first ever thermostats that were ENERGY STAR certified. It will learn and adapt to the temperatures you prefer, and will build an automated schedule based around yours. The Nest Thermostat has been saving billions of kWh for millions of homeowners since 2011. Independent studies have shown that the Nest has saved people an average of 10 to 12 percent on heating costs and 15 percent on cooling bills. Essentially, the thermostat will pay for itself in about two years.
When you change the temperature on the thermostat to save energy, a Leaf symbol will appear on the screen. The Leaf will learn how to help you save money, and it might appear at different temperatures for different users. You can view how much energy you’re spending each day in your Energy History, as well as a Home Report you’ll receive each month. This way you can see where you are spending more energy, like weekends and cold nights, and find ways to use less.
Chances are high that the rooms in your home will have different temperatures. With the Nest Temperature Sensor (Sold Separately) you can inform the Nest what temperature which room should be, and at a certain time. All you need to do is place the Sensor on a wall or a shelf in the room you need, such as your bedroom or kids room, and you can adjust it to the correct temperature from there.
The Nest Thermostat is also equipped with Farsight, which lights up to display the temperature, weather, and time. Farsight can change between a digital and analog clock face, and is large and bright enough to be seen from across the room. The Nest Thermostat may only be one part of your HVAC system, but it can also monitor it for you as well. If something goes wrong, such as temperatures being low enough to burst your pipes, or your furnace is acting up, it will let you know by sending an alert to your phone.

Programs itself. Then pays for itself.
Meet the 3rd gen Nest Learning Thermostat. It has new rings and a big, sharp display. And it saves energy. That's the most beautiful part.
The Nest Learning Thermostat programs itself. It helps save energy. You can control it from anywhere with the Nest app. And with a Nest Temperature Sensor, you can get the right temperature, right where you want it. (Sold separately.)
Your thermostat controls half your energy bill - more than appliances, more than electronics. So shouldn't it help you save energy?
The Nest Learning Thermostat is the first thermostat to get ENERGY STAR certified. It learns what temperature you like and builds a schedule around yours. Since 2011, the Nest Thermostat has saved billions of kWh of energy in millions of homes worldwide. And independent studies showed that it saved people an average of 10% to 12% on heating bills and 15% on cooling bills. So in under two years, it can pay for itself.
See how much you saved.
Nest shows you how much energy you use every day in Energy History and every month in your Home Report. So you can see when you use more energy, like on weekends or Monday nights, and how to use less.
Follow the Leaf.
Change the temperature to save energy and you'll be rewarded with a Leaf. The Leaf learns how to help you save, so it appears at different temperatures for different families.
Meet the Nest Temperature Sensor.
Most homes aren't the same temperature in every room. With the Nest Temperature Sensor, you can let your Nest thermostat know which room should be a certain temperature at a certain time of day. Just put it on a wall or shelf in a room that matters most, like the living room or baby's room. And get the right temperature, right where you want it. (Sold separately.)
It lights up when you walk in the room.
Now the Nest Thermostat does something new. It's called Farsight, and it lights up to show you the temperature, weather or time. You can even choose a digital or analog clock face. Farsight is big and bright on the beautiful display - you can see it from across the room.
Know your home is safe.
The Nest Thermostat is just one part of your heating and cooling system. But it can keep an eye on the rest of it. You'll get an alert on your phone if there's something wrong - like temperatures are so low your pipes could burst. And if it looks like your furnace is acting up, the Nest Thermostat will send you an alert.
