Product Description:

The Sony ULT TOWER 5 in Black is a rechargeable Bluetooth party speaker designed for parties, karaoke, DJ setups, gatherings, and event spaces. It combines ULT POWER SOUND modes, a large woofer, dual tweeters, dynamic party lighting, Bluetooth 5.3, up to 20 hours of battery life, IPX4 splash resistance, XLR/RCA/microphone connectivity, a 10-band customizable EQ, and integrated carrying handles in a more compact tower-style enclosure.

The acoustic system uses one approximately 9.06-inch woofer and two approximately 2.36-inch tweeters. Sony also includes Sound Field Optimization and horizontal/vertical sound tuning to help adapt the speaker's output to its placement and listening environment.

Selectable listening profiles include ULT1, ULT2, FLAT, and LIVE, allowing users to choose between bass-focused and more balanced sound characteristics. A 10-band custom equalizer provides additional tonal adjustment through the Sony Sound Connect app.

Integrated party lighting adds synchronized visual effects for gatherings, karaoke, and DJ use. Sony also supports app-based Party Light, DJ Control, and Karaoke functions through Sound Connect on compatible software versions.

For wired sources, the ULT TOWER 5 includes RCA input, XLR input, XLR output, a 1/4-inch microphone input, USB-A, and USB-C. This combination supports a broad range of microphones, DJ equipment, mobile devices, and other compatible audio sources.

Wireless connectivity uses Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC, AAC, and LDAC codec support. Two ULT TOWER 5 speakers can be configured for Stereo Pair, while Party Chain can connect compatible ULT TOWER models for synchronized playback. Sony states Party Chain can support up to 100 compatible speakers.

The internal rechargeable battery provides up to approximately 20 hours of playback under Sony-rated conditions. USB power output can also provide power to a compatible smartphone.

An IPX4 water-resistance rating when the speaker is positioned vertically helps protect against splashing water during suitable indoor or outdoor use. At approximately 28 pounds, the ULT TOWER 5 is substantially easier to reposition than larger floorstanding party-speaker designs.
